Yup, it's our job to inform them.

It's with alot of communities TBH about other games that they have no interest in. You mainly hear stuff about each others game if it's a big thing like a character getting banned or support from the developers or stuff like that. The FGC is one giant piece of pie where Capcom has the most share in America and Europe to degrees and there is everyone else but in other places the percentage is different.

We are like countries who some of it's citizens will communicate about small things here and there but everyone will get involved to degrees to discuss about something that is major affects us as a whole but soon as mud is flown in any type of way or discussion about each others games and misinformation is spread sometimes purposely as a troll or not then it goes south from there and crying and bitching will happen.

Also the spotlight of a FG on average is usually like 1-5 months depending on the game and it's in EVO or not and what the scenes and communities do with the game while some interest when it comes down to viewers for streams kinda dies down after EVO.

Also EVO being the top of the food chain in decisions when it comes to announcements of it's tournament season can also affect players for when it comes to people playing certain games and how communities can grown when it comes to stream time IMO. Sorry to smack this post with a big post like this but I thought the topic was interesting.

Imo, I think part of the reason is...gaming politics, but I really think EVO is to blame a bit to be honest. That or people aren't exploring enough to find this community. I agree with Gamegenie that Capcom has a pretty strong grip in North America (mainly California "EVO") and they a fierce community in general. They can over voice a lot of smaller communities in general.

Well Capcom was the one to started it all in a way and FGC started with SF so yeah but it can be pretty annoying as well.

As big as EVO has become. It doesn't stop our community from growing or throwing tournaments. It also doesn't stop us from making contacts with people outside our community and bridging gaps. With the help of a few others, I help develop this monthly for SC5 which will also have Tekken. It seems like quite a few Tekken players are willing to try out SC5 here. People need to be more proactive.
