I'm volunteering with WNF to build a reputation with LevelUp. It means that I will have less time to play casuals, but I'll be there every week.

DOA5 LR on PC was a special case where they didn't have working netplay at launch, which absolutely wrecked it. The crazy DLC package costs and kind of looking like shit are secondary to that. Still, milked game is much preferable to dead game. Can't talk shit on them too much.

In general, what makes you want to play this game over other fighting games? I actually don't know why I like it so much. For me, this game is so deeply ingrained in nostalgia that I just unconditionally like how it plays.

SC3 started the downward trend, but SCV just happened to be the last main-line game where things really shit the bed. The timeline is that SC3 destroyed competitive and the growth onward wasn't enough to recover it. SCV really screwed the pooch for PvE SC players though.

Freedom of movement is primarily grounded in safety rather than responsiveness. 8*G and 2*G are allow you to sidestep and guard together. You can also cancel steps with guard instead of being open a whole 20 frames.
