After LH A+B you can get a 44K 4A+B,A which is 85 damage. If you're in SC, you can 2A+B,B after the 44K for 98 dmg.
As far as I know, those are his actual best options.
Lol, my personal tier list (which I still am struggling with placing a bunch of characters in) HEAVILY conflicts with like every one I've seen. It's been very weird seeing what people say in SCVI, because it's almost always some wack stuff.
People are still placing Xianghua and Raph low, even...
You should read what you quote more closely.
Yes, I have played Calibur competitively. What I was saying is that the video the guy was talking about was a really dumb representation of Nightmare, just like a video with 3 wind cannons would be a bad representation of Talim. So your reply...
No, I'm not.
That video is as disingenuous a representation of Nightmare as those videos of Talim landing 3 empty Wind cannons and taking a round.
Technically Talim only needs 2-3 correct guesses too with Wind cannon existing, am I right?
Looking at a character in such a limited bubble like...
This guy's really, really bad.
Every time NM 6AA'd he coulda used a WNF B and done 1/3rd the guy's life. Or really any tech crouch. And if he wasn't going to crouch, he could back off for the A+B he knew was coming and just punish. Or really just used an A+B. Or... ANYTHING that isn't 6K.
I'm in Alpharetta now, so I'll probably go to Gwinnett Brawl when I can.
Unfortunately from now up til dreamhack I'll be busy. Flying back to AZ for a wedding then working right up to DH (my work is holding an event there). I'll be good post-DH though!
Prep 6K, which if it catches step should get you a BB:B46BB:B
Prep BK. It's a string. If 6B lands, 46 immediately cancels into prep, and BK is a natural combo with it, which gives knockdown.
No offense, but being high on ranked doesn't really say much. I'm a trash tier Talim and was sitting at like #3 for a good while. A lot of people get away with a lot of dumb stuff online, and it's really not representative of actual offline play. Just being half-decent at the game will net you...
Yeah I honestly think Raph is pretty good this time around, even if just for 6B46BK. That shit is absolutely nuts as a punish. Feels like I'm playing SCIV Setsuka, except I won't literally eat my whole health bar if they block my punish.
Prep actually works now as a tool, though. You have...
I don't think Talim's great this time around, she's certainly got her share of problems ATM, but this seems like super wrong to me.
Her stance lows all lead into combo or strong oki, her strings are a lot better than they were now, her verticals don't all suck, her lows are OK (outside 1B...
If you have SC, any launcher you would normally 6A+B 214:B off of, you can instead 44K 2A+BB for higher damage. The 44K takes some timing to consistently put them grounded in front of you, but it seems to work fine after some practice.
Nope, just the normal 6B+K for WNS, you can see it in my inputs. :P
I know that this doesn't hit properly with the 3B combo, because the 4B(A) will knock them too far, but it does seem to work fine off WNS K popup.
Hm, maybe character specific? I've tested vs Groh and vs Talim. Here it is vs Talim:
Don't mind the dummy settings, I've done it with guard all/ukemi. :P
So combining those two:
WNF K~6B+K~WNS (K)~4B(A)~BT AAB works for 66 damage. Puts you BT on wakeup.
Not sure if this is really that much better than just doing
WNF K~66B~2(A+B) and using the stance for oki. But it is higher damage.
This also works off a LH BT A+B if you do:
LH BT...
No, she's not. This is a bad way to look at fighting games, and honestly games in general. You can't make a 1:1 comparison of a slow zoning character that has very few built-in mixups, versus a short ranged faster character with built in mixups and evasion. Regardless of how well Talim's...
Mentioned this in the move analysis thread, but you can get this off of CH WNF A as well. Which seems a bit better than FC3B and its followups, as it's the same damage with optional stance.
Whaaat, I've been staying away from using it but that's super good news. Leads to 66B 2[A+B] mixup
Edit:
So I've found from a CH WF A, instead of a WS3B a good option is to 6BB WNS B. Same damage and won't leave you BT ever. Can also can hold the B to be in WNF for wakeup if wanted.
