Algol Top 10 moves, now with 100% bubbles.

It simple people. Just give out some of the Overlord best moves.

Anyway, here's mines.

10.K (His fastest moves, and is safe.)
9.4AA ( Just a great moves for getting behind your foe. And I have a Wall combo with this move anyway :D.
8.11A (Slow yes, but sets you up for some of his good combos.)
7.3AA (A good ground stun, that give you another free combo.)
6.2K ( OMG, I love this fucking kick. Very fact poke, and help me with my Algol's mix up game. You won't even see this epic kick coming.)
5.1B ( As matic told me about this one. It setup for a sexy Algol tech trap, and before the patch rape Algol it was his first half life combo with 11A,2A+B,22_88B,2A+B,aB,2B.
4.2A+K ( A good safe move, and put algol in a nice FC for either an 8B or WS B.)
3.QI K ( This might be my only favorite move t odo out o fthis stance. But it oaky from a distance, and goes undersome highs I think.)
2.623ABK ( I like move a lot for my combos, and minor ring out attack. Aside from it your fuck if one move whiffs, it also can be safe thanks to the GB at the end of it.

ok.

you missed out on alot of crucial stuff but everyone just has different opinions i guess.

in no particular order:

1. 2A (most useful poke and is just as fast as AA)
2. WS[K]_WS K (best and fastest move out of crouch; should alternate to confuse them)
3. FC 3B (another useful one to use after 2A)
4. 6K[K] (good for tech trapping with 11A. switch it up to 33B if they predict wrong)
5. 33B (massive damage combos)
6. 11A (massive damage combos)
7. 3B (unsafe but yet again it punishes some moves; mix it up with qflip B, 3B and u got yourself a 90+ dmg punisher; also rapes the soul gauge)
8. BB (mix it up with backdash for some ownage)
9. 2A+K:A+B (if the opponent holds guard then you can 8B+K air grab them. if they dont then use [A+B] next time instead. much better options then 8B or WS B lol)
10. 66BA (i use this more then i should but noone ever sees the second hit come out. leads to aB, 2B for mad damage)

algol can do fine without his bubbles. its fun to use them once in a while to setup for traps though.
 
I agree with your set. But I was just saying the moves I do most of the times with Algol. But I respect your stuff with him also. Play me sometimes if you got time playa.
 
yeah i use ur stuff too once in a while but i just find it unsafe and sometimes unneccessary. i tend to focus on algols close range game more since it sucks so i can handle it with more ease. focusing on weaknesses makes a character overall better rather than just ignoring it and working on one scenario only. algol's got the tools for mid and long range. your chances are only guaranteed as long as they stay in that range though. anyways thats why i added FC 3B and WS K on the list.

Wow I'm schocked there wasn't any mention of 2AK, [AB], 623ABK. One of Algol's most dazzling combos.

Actually i wasn't, try it. its a low sweep kick, charged bubble, 623ABK (his 3 hit combo that ends with him kicking the opponent while sitting on his chair.)
 
Ribu, pretty sure he meant 2A+K:[A+B], 623ABK.

just because the move is fancy doesnt mean that its actually effective. 623ABK wiffs alot and isnt really that worth it due to its weak damage in combos. and what u posted isnt a guaranteed combo. the bubble only pops the opponent up if they hold guard.

2A+K:A+B, 8B+K is the better choice imo. deals more damage and has the air grab in it for show. ;)
 
air grab is still better :P. after the throw u can put in a 2K for an extra 17 damage if they dont block low right away. and u still got enough room to launch some bubbles.

anyways funny match i had today...perfected a round using this setup:

1B, 2A, WS B (uninterruptable since the 2A gave +8 on hit), 8A+B, 2B+K, 2A+K:A+B, 8B+K, 2K.

finished him with 2 bubbles afterwards.

not a legit combo but can be used just as effectively. looks crazy too and the opponent will be thinking wtf just happened. takes out like 3/4 of their health too
 
Sorry bout the typo, i wasn't playing when i wrote that combo. And people online really dont wait to get back up and hit G so they can start counter attacking.

There are 623 inputs in this game? *laughs* I know that sounds like a silly thing to say, as, well, people are saying it, but man that seems like it would be difficult as hell to do on a joystick quickly. forward, back to center, down diaganolly forward. It sounds pretty easy on a D-Pad but oh man, for me ( who has always, ALWAYS sucked with joysticks to begin with, which is the reason even when I was at my soul calibur best during SC II I would still get my ass whooped pretty much every match playing it at the arcade. I just cannot use joysticks) I would almost inevitably end up going 635123 while trying to do 623
 
I know what the directional inputs are.

I'm just saying that with a joystick going forward and then down quickly without hitting any directions inbetween is difficult for me. As I said, I am *horrendous* with joysticks.

I was just saying I would almost surely either pull back too far and go from 6 to 4 or not go straight back enough and go from 6 to 3.

623 would kill me on a joystick.

It's not a combo or anything, but I like throwing in 2A -> WS B against people who don't block low after you do the 2A.
 
yeah that can work, it is interruptible though (maybe not on CH not sure) so make sure you got faster options available like FC 3B

I also like A+K alot.
Haven't played him in ages, so the list is probably off. That's what I can remember using with him.
Mainly, I like to attack SG and hit them with lots of stuff that leads to free 421AKB, not to mention throwing slow moving bubbles alot.
