Alice In Wonderland

Matty82

[13] Hero
Well a back with just a few new characters and as the title implies they are from Alice In Wonderland
Not my best work but I thought I'd try something that wasn't completly from my own head
I have a great love for the books (as the pic of me in my Mad Hatter costume shows) so I thought I'd give them ago. Hope you like them, hopefully I will have some more of my own creations to show later.

Wow, these are really pretty! Love them all, especially the queen despite her similarity to your awesome jester char a few threads back. There are dozens of cool creations with esoteric sticker/accessory tricks on the forums, but yours are unmatched in terms of artistic direction. In other words, while the subtle touches (like punk Alice's hair band) are indeed innovative, it's the total image of your characters that really distinguish them.

Wow, these are offensively beautiful!
I could stare at them all day. I must have been sat gawking at them for a good few minutes now. It's just that every time I look at them I find something else to love about them. The quirkiness and creativity in their designs is true to the original story/characters.
Ok, I'll shut up now before I give you an ego!

I have a question. What gauntlets and shoulders did you use for the Queen of Hearts? I looks like it might be part of the "Ancient Armor" set, but I don't see that as a downloadable option on my PSN store. Is it Platstation+ only, or am I just mad? That is a distinct possibility.

@ Samaras_Madness: The DLC packs are available in the EU Store for some reason.

I've always liked your stuff, Matty. It's rich, vibrant and packed with small details. The fact the these have rendered Le Bello speechless (in the other thread) and forced to Pocky Yoshi to refer to himself in in the first person speaks to their impact. They're stellar.

The Queen is stunning. It's funny to sit down and pick out each and every little sticker and item, then realize that, when it's all said and done, you've made a crown out of a gear and a heart. These are the kind of things which people can learn from and make their own. Not necessarily the item itself but more the concept of seeing something and using it for something else.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go and give my self esteem mouth to mouth. In the mean time I tip my (mad) hat to you and look forward to your next batch.

Honestly guys I really don't know what to say! it gives me great pleasure to hear so many lovely comments about my work
as always I'm very humble, its comments like these why I enjoy creating in the first place.

Your quite right about the Queen of Hearts, but it really couldn't be avoided it considering her character, maybe I could make a king and jack of hearts and make a complete deck ;) As always your input really makes think about what I'm doing

I think I may do a set of Brthers Grimm characters next based on my own little project, though I'm a little stuck on how to represent Cinderellas glass slippers if anyone has any suggestions that would be great

Modern 15 has a nice sparkly look, so it might work for glass? I'm not sure as I've never tried it; there probably will be a better, more ingenious way.

I shall brace myself for the creative inferiority amazement that I'll experience when you upload the next set of characters!

Stilettos and Ethnic Pattern 14 (the fish scales) could work for the slippers. The texture/pattern glints and reflects light.

Sadly, with your "bon goût", i rarely see you comment on others' CAS, at least nothing i can remember of...

I will admit I haven't commented alot on others works recently but doesn't mean I havent!
I don't spend a whole lot of time on the net or forums and haven't even been here on the website for other a month due to home life, so I'm sorry if you don't think I spend enough active time commenting on others works, that doesn't mean I haven't been looking and appreciating others work.

That's fine. Take care of what personal ish that needs to be done. Because I still think your CAS is tons better than many I've seen around. The fact that you're not around all the time makes you just as legendary as Gatsu for instance =D. There's very few peeps I can call "savants of CAS". And you my friend, definitely deserve to be called that since I lurk enough to know.

Pardon my post.

Your creations are amazing! The Queen especially, your recreations of them remind me of American Mcgee's Alice.

... Great... I find the colors striking... so bright ... and yet the characters feel so twisted and dark.... that's hard to pull off
