623B - i31

A risky IMP move that pays off when used properly... In here we can discuss when and how to apply the move, I've made a list of all the attack strings 623B can interrupt:

JI - Will give a JI when parried
range - close/ mid/ far/ tip; are the ranges if listed allow the GI to IMP

why not just use a normal GI?

algols Post GI is better then this move.

another reason this move fails is you can use aGIs offensively. this move is to risky to use like that.

list is good but im sure you could of invested your time in something more worth while
 
The list is nice because since the time till activation on 623B is the same as a normal GI(a rare property for aGIs) it's basically applicable useful for all characters.
 
There are some other things I didn't list (maybe you'd like to), I didn't feel like they were important enough, like Sig's 3KKB you can 623B the last hit too but I didn't think it was worth noting because the low is what matters... GI's can be difficult soemtimes (not cooperating) so at least you can buffer this from guard a bit better, if you couldn't I wouldn't have listed any of this, but I guessed it was ok to have around so might as well post it...

Yeah i2 is nice, and on JI it would be nice if it did someting else but one can only hope for that in SC5, the normal JI is the greater exception I have here because off of it you can get a free 33B combo that deals good damage on most of the cast... Hey, at least they can't re-GI, and the wake up game off this isn't too bad either...

DON'T WHIFF THAT GI BUBBLES, 33B IS OUT TO GET YA!!!
GI's are [2-10] (9 frame window), this move has a 13 frame window [2-14]...
 
Anyone that tries to make a list to actually help the Algol players gets my praise. I do agree that all of these strings could be regular GIed, but a good list not the less. I personally don't use this move though unless I'm just messing around.
 
I think yelling SHORYUKEN! every time you attempt the move should supplement.

So I actually contribute something, I'm pretty sure you can use it against Nightmare's 1[A]_1aK; impacts the low and TCs the high punch. Not a string, but quite useful.
 
Not only would it TC the punch but it would beat it out in terms of speed... The only thing with this move is if it's blocked your screwed and there's a 17 frame window in which the opponent can interrupt the attack, this move can be Asura Danced by most good Kilik's on reaction too...
