Alternative/Experimental Mitsu machup chart

Belial

King of Hundred Swords
About:
This is an experimental chart, an attempt to create an actual "matchup" chart, instead of tier chart. Each character is described by a number of stats. Whichever character has an upperhand in either gets 3 points per stat, a tie is 1 point, disadvatage is 0 points. Initial score determines the winner.
Stats are to be discussed, so far there is no step, SG -damage, RO or Wallgame, however I feel those are not as important and though may affect matchups but not too much to be considered.

Legend:
SPD = Speed
RNG = Range
DMG = Damage
OKI = Wake ups/Okizeme
PNS = Punishment.

I kind of agree with you, however, I can't help but think that some characters' playstyle revolves around some of these gameplay aspects that you left out. I don't know, perhaps you're right not including them (it could become too complicated) ...

Now, about the chart's style, I hope it turns out fruifull, as it is interesting to read but also has a lot of space for arguments...

For example, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this:
### Mitsu vs Ivy
SPD 0 3
RNG 0 3
As I have some objections (in both aspects)

dittO: I'd concur with Belial on this one. If you look at the number of useful fast moves that Ivy has in SW or CL, you'll find that she has more. Her kicks in particularly have some very nice properties. Range itself should fairly explanatory. She has tools like WP 3A that can be used to keep Mitsu at range, which he cannot properly punish. Not to mention that, in general, her range is just better than his, particularly once she is in WP.

Well, I clearly understand what you're saying and I agree (at some point)...
HOWEVER,
What most people do when comparing Ivy with each character is comparing her ENTIRE movelist/properties with each character's ENTIRE movelist/properties. What most people don't realize though, is that Ivy CANNOT access EACH and EVERY one of her moves in EVERY weapon state she's in.
That said (and having a look in both characters FD) someone can notice that:
Mitsu SPD > Ivy SPD
(Mitsu SPD > Ivy CL SPD, Mitsu SPD > Ivy WP SPD, Mitsu SPD < Ivy SW SPD)
Mitsu RNG > or = Ivy RNG
(Mitsu RNG > or = Ivy CL RNG, Mitsu RNG < Ivy WP RNG, Mitsu RNG > Ivy SW RNG)
(CL=Coiled, WP=Whip, SW=Sword)
One can also say that Ivy can face Mitsu in only one weapon state for example.
However the thing is that If a character has the tools to make Ivy face him/her in only one state (which is NOT a very good idea generally), then that means that he/she can PRESSURE her.

Ivy wins in stepping/spacing though. And also Ivy CAN make nice use of her command throw game against Mitsu (imho always of course) ;)

Ivy has a lot of fast, useful pokes she spams in any matchup.

But it represents if character can take advantage of his speed in this matchup
