Hi Guys and gals I've played Soul Calibur 4 for a good.
Today though I wanted to know.
Am I a newbie Or not.
I'll list the moves I piece together with Shura.
Then you just decide.

2.A+B~8A+b~8A+K~B3

3.A+B~7AA~B3

4.A+B~3A:b~B3

5.A+B~2A+B~A~4kk into the wall~66B back into the wall~BBB

6.A+B~iGDR~82B

7.A+B~4A+K~BBB

8.A+B~66A+B~BBB

9.A+B~66A+B~8A+K

10.A+B~2A+B~A~4BK

11.A+B~4A+K~88B

12.A+B~6A+B:B

13.A+B~3B:B

Sorry about the A+Bs but I'm a stun combo type but I do mix up my moves.
I don't spam it but I trick my friends into it with 1k~A~A+B.
I use every move in her and or Cervantes moves list.

If you want to know my mains are Shura ,Mitsurugi,Amy,Tira, and Raphael

Hard to tell... you just posted a bunch of Cerv strings starting out with A+B.

Better question:

How long have you played?

I would say less than 3 months puts you in noob status, but if you keep getting owned and can't hang after that time period... then you may just be a scrub.

Don't worry though, you can use this whole Soul Arena... just for Cervy, to become better. Welcome to 8way.

I've played It for 11 months.
I really wanted to learn more about Cervys moves and advance combos.
Thats Why I came here.

There isn't a better place online, and everyone is super helpful. Don't dwell on whether you're a noob or not, get out there and start studying NAO! ;)

A+B is a very shakeable stun. Imo its not as useful to open combos as it is for a Tech Crouch move, and at that iwrA is a better option. If you know your opponent can't shake stuns then go for it, but don't be surprised if people start blocking after the initial stun.

For stun combos I find 2A+B is better and its easy enough to catch them on counter hit for the stun to work.

whenever i see someone online pic shura, i assume theyre bad, but hey I'm sure thats just me.
just be aware theres idiots like me who will call you all kinds of names just for not using cervy.
welcome to ze forum. ; ]

Shura and her range are crazy awesome don't pay any mind to people who bad mouth you for using shura as long as you enjoy yourself. That said pick Cervy you noob (jk). Don't rely on A+B and since your shura you have the luxury of great range so space. I say start staying away from A+B and use 2A+B and WR A because those cant be shaken.

if you want super advanced combos that are rather impractical unless positioned right check these

i also have gameplay videos of me online if that helps

Man I like those combos.
I was wander long did it take you to catch on to iGDR and could you give me some pointers, tips every once in a while.
Oh yeah its was laugh my butt off funny how you shot Algol while he was trying to teleport.

ya if you send me Q's on youtube i give indepth responses im doing so for a few other cervys i will not name do you play online if so whats you tag

Also, I made a wiki for Cervantes if you want to check that also. Otherwise, this Soul Arena has LOTS of good information for you, and there are quite a few qualified people here to help you

It's not always about what moves you use, it's in how you use them. So it's hard to say, and you can't really judge based around online play either.

I agree with these quote 100% even if you master all of Cervy's JF's that doesn't necessarily turn you into a good player. Even if you do well online you can't do everything that can be done offline.

I can tell you that I'm very consistent with iGDR but compared to OOFMATIC's skill level, he's far superior than me.

I witness another competitor, he also has good JF's with Setsuka but OOFMATIC still beats him to the punch.

I would lose badly to someone online and get my revenge offline, but of course this doesn't apply to everyone and you know who that individual is I keep referring to.

All of these combos, advance moves that are considered 'flashy' are secondary but the main level that extends beyond those are mind games & adaptation.

So to answer your topic question the answer is I dunno.

It maybe more fair to show a lot of youtube vids of yourself playing against another opponent but it depends on several factors but I'll just leave it at that.

Thanks I get what you guys saying.
Really I thought it was all about the combos that made you a great player
but I forgot it how play that labels you a great or bad player.
Oh yeah I forgot thank you guys who help create this site and the guys for the good advice.
Maybe when I get my cable modem I'll fight you guys online on my ps3.
