Cass' Ring Out Game

Lags

[08] Mercenary
For all the hate that Cass seems to get, one thing that I think rarely gets any mention is how stupid Cass' ring out game is... how stupidly good, that is. I do not understand why other people do not try to ring me out more as Cass. I know I try to RO people every chance I get. I have definitely come back from matches where I was getting wailed on just because I paid more attention to ring positioning than my opponent. She has something that can RO from just about every direction, and so being at the edge against her is just plain dangerous.

This is just the list of what Cass can use that seems consistently land-able if they are on the edge:

Ring Out to Cass' Front:
1A
4AB
3B
2BB:K
2B8BAA (can go over low walls)
8K
66A+B
CH 2B+K
66B+KAB
44B+K
8A+KK
33_99B (can go over low walls)
33_99KK
22_88KK
11_44_77K
236AB
236B (can go over low walls)
CH 236(B)
CH 236:(B) (can go over low walls)

Ring Out to Cass' Back:
11_44_77B
66B+G, 4BB:A
Back Throw A+G_B+G
A+G (requires proper positioning)

Ring Out to Cass' Left:
CH 11_44_77A
CH 22AA (opposite when on 2P side)
8A+BK (requires proper positioning)
33_99KA+K
236K

Ring Out to Cass' Right:
8_9A
4BB:A
CH 88AA (opposite when on 2P side)

I'm pretty sure her A+G throw rings out, too, just not that often.

I'm not sure about which direction it ROs from, though.

Lame, I didn't realize that 3K doesn't RO anymore (SC2 6K). That was like my favorite RO move. Of course, its a horrible move now, but whatever.

Her A+G throw rings out to her back-left I believe. You have to set it up pretty carefully for it to work though because it's a pretty specific angle.

ID: Yeah, the 2BB:K is not DIRECTLY in front, it is sort of front and right - so it is more diagonally really, but I was listing things in somewhat general terms. If they are directly against the ring edge at a perpendicular angle, then, for all intents and purposes, you are RO'ing them from the "front" in my book.

This is kind of similar with 8A+BK too. You can actually RO people from the front using this since it is actually somewhat diagonal and left when they fall from the K.

I am just hoping to stir up some more information since the game has been out for a few months now, but this is the first time I've seen a Cass RO list being generated for public consumption. Hopefully we can expand on this and get people to complain about RO instead of 236B. :P

A+G is back and to the right. Not actually that hard to set up.

Very good because you can mix it up with 66B+G for a 50/50 ringout.

I think quite a few people fear her RO game already. When I pick Cassandra online, easily half the time, my opponent picks one of the 2 completely walled in stages (course her wall combos are awesome too, so, :) ). Doesn't happen nearly so often when I pick someone else.

indeed but if they manage to block the b,k a quick 4k right after will stop them long enough for 236b... god... I love that trap so much >.<

236B will beat a lot of options after a blocked b,k. It's a good trap against button mashers because they don't like to do weak attacks like 2A or B,B.

Granted she has been changes since 3, her RO game is still probably one of the best in the game.

True, though the difference between Cass with CDC and WS B, and Cass without it is stellar, though that applies to far more than RO game, lol.

11_44_77B is the best ringout move in the history of forever when it hits. the opponent is in slow motion and half the time they hit the edge on the way out. it makes me smile.

i ring out with cassandra more than any other character, and thats part of the reason why i've been playing her more often. i <3 free rounds.

So thts what i did the other night =D i was like WTH the camera angle was different from when i usually use tht throw and they kinda slid right out the ring lol, was AWESOME tho
