Committing to a character

Viridian

[08] Mercenary
Hello everyone :) I'm fairly new to fighting games and started out a little with SCIV, but SF4 has been my main game for a while (Guile main). I've just picked up SCV a bit late, and I'm looking for some help with picking a suitable character based on execution requirements.

There's quite a few characters I'm interested in, but my main problem is to avoid characters with challenging combos and/or difficult (yet useful) moves to perform. In SCIV I was drawn towards Setsuka but quickly realized she was... just a little too technical, so I'm trying to avoid making the same error in SCV.

I should stress I'm not looking for someone that's low on execution specifically, I'd just rather avoid the likes of a.Pat. Some of the characters I'm interested in include Cervantes (probably bad for execution), Yoshimitsu (really not sure about this one), Mitsurugi (on a friend's recommendation), Pyrrha and Voldo. Thank you :)

(My XBL gamertag is ViridianBlues for fellow Europeans)

Particularly, Yoshi is a good mix-up character but can be a bit execution heavy and all about being unpredictable if new to him. Pyrrha and Mitsurugi are without a doubt easy to learn, but only few imho actually play them the way they should be played. Voldo I lack knowledge on but for the most part, I feel gameplay wise he's kinda like Yoshi. Cervy imho is somewhat like Mitsu and Pyrrha, but like Voldo and Yoshi requires understanding on mix-ups and pressure. But this all my scrubby opinion since I only know how to play Yoshi haha.

But in general, try them all out until you find the shoe that fits your needs. Don't let the cons outweigh the pros to make you apprehensive. Ask and ye shall receive.

As for introductions, Pocky Yoshi says hello and is pleased to meet you.
