Crono needs a strong woman in his life to offset his lack of speaking, he might be autistic due to his lack of speech. In this case the only option for him is to be with Ayla. She will be able to take care of him and his special needs.

The Chrono series is no longer relevant. The trademark for "Chrono Break" expired and there was a cease and desist letter sent out to the creators of the non-profit fan game "Crimson Echoes". Square Enix probably won't revive the series, but will stop any attempts to do what Kajar Laboratories did, which was way better than anyone had anticipated.
