Fastest way to level up a style?

Anyone know how the offline style level up works? My styles level up in the middle of a match. Is it based on hw many times I hit?

Wouldn't worry about it. I think you can max level a character in like 10 matches. Its one of those things where you're best off not even paying attention and just play the character.
