In hopes to stave off the drought of events in the area and hopefully create a lasting scene, Next Level Gaming will be hosting a Soul Calibur V tournament in Lincoln Nebraska.
The Venue is Next Level Gaming at 1717 O st. Lincoln, NE 68503. It's a little hard to find; the door is right next to Timeless Treasures, there should be a wooden sign out front.
Entry will only be $5 as we are testing interest in the area, but if the event turns out to be a success we will likely raise entry to increase the pot and hopefully attract players from greater distances. There will be a venue fee of $3. The event starts at 1 PM and will continue until all the games have been played, and likely a while after that for friendlies (time permitting). All games will be played on PS3, and players are expected to bring their own controllers.
Rules are as follows:
-All matches will be played best 2 of 3, with best 3 of 5 rounds.
-Losers may change character between matches, winners must stay with the character they won with.
-All matches will be played on a random stage, unless a rematch is accepted by both players.
-Devil Jin and Dampierre are banned
-One test round will be allowed for a button check
-Players will be disqualified after five minutes if they do not show up for their match. We will do everything we can to assure the player is not in the area before disqualifying them
We hope to see you there, and hope to bring together some good players. There is free parking in the lot behind the building-make sure it's not the pawn shop's lot.
