Final Fantasy: Dissidia

Im looking forward to this. Kingdom hearts had a good battle system I think. So far the only unmentioned people are for FF 5,6, and 7.

I personally think the most likley candidates are Cloud for FF7, and I have no Idea for FF5 because Ive never played it, I would assume the main. As for FF6, It is so far my favorite, Its written so well, and with a large cast, it makes a real 'Lead Character' diffucult to distinguish as they all had a major role in the game with the exception of umaro or gogo.
I dont understand much of FF7s worship. Although it was a good game, and I just finished it last year 'played it for the second time too, the first time was only like half an hour), so much of the mystery might have been ruined... But I think FF6 has so much untapped potential as each character seems to have a rich backstory that they were unable to delve deeply into. I would guess Terra would be the protagonist to make it into the game, with more as unlockables. People say cloud is scarred out of most of the heroes and the most emo, But I would argue shadow is.

Instead of contracting 'Peter Parker syndrome" (reference to the game overthinker) as to how his losses made him weak, the opposite happened to shadow. He lost his best friend, and resolved to become somebody without emotion- an assassin capable of killing anybody due to his inability to end his best friends life when he pleaded for shadow to do it (It is also implied that Realm is his daughter, as her mother died it would also mean he lost his wife). I would greatly like to see shadow in the game, as they have had no hero as badass as he was. Heck, I even wanna get a rotwieler and name him interceptor, lol.

Heck they could make a SERIES on the content for each of the characters here. Even kefka had a backstory, but it was never really mentioned in game. He volanteered for the tests empowering humans with magic (He was the first person to undergo the process). He was origionally a timid person, and was well respected in the empire, and a great military tactician apparantly. However after the process his sanity gradually dwained and then snapped suddenly one day, when he had shown up to a banquet with his clown stuff on. Ghestal stripped him of his power, but kept him as his court mage out of pity. Well, I do know wikipedia once had a better explination but they seemed to have removed it regretatably.
 
so far the game looks to be well built. and according to what i've read , square wants to built a "community" around the game.
 
A community? lol. It might be diffucult to please all the fans, lol... specially when it comes to FF6.. .cant really decide who shold make it in. I would rather see auron than tidus, so I hope he makes it as a bonus unlockable character... For bonus characters heres what i hope
- Auron, Vivi, Tifa, Marche (Hey comon, lol... or Li Grim)... And why no FF12? Heck, I hope some of those people can make it in... Vayne, and um.... hmmmmm who would make it outta the heroes? lol. Probably Basche.

As for FF6- I hope these people at least make it in as they have had the most impact on the story as the heroes- Terra, Locke, Edgar, Sabin, Shadow, Celes, Setzer, Cyan, Strago, Realm.... Heck thats the whole cast, and its diffucult to chose whos going to make it in, because all of them had a major part in the story, but since the chosen person has to have a link to the villian these are the most likley methinks-
- Terra (Used her as a weapon while enslaved),
- Celes (Underwent magitech infusion, rank rivaled Kefkas- both seen in intro cinima next to the emperor),
- Cyan (Killed everybody in doma by poisoning the water),
- Edgar (Attempted to destroy his kingdom), Sabin could be said for the same reason.
- Shadow (Stayed behind on the floating continent to stall kefka while your party escapes, basically considered to have solo dueled kefka)
 
It's widely speculated that FF6's Hero representative will be Terra, due to a shadowy feminine figure standing with the heroes in the trailer, as well as Kefka telling Cloud of Darkness not to harm "her", as she is a "close" friend of his..or something of that sort in the subbed version of the trailer.

And besides, her Esper form is perfect for the game's EX-form mechanic.
 
Yeh, I was thinking that it would be Terra mainly from the EX-Form mechanic. Although personally, There is rumored to be unlockable characters, so im hoping for somebody from FF Tactics like Marche, Li Grim, and some people from FF12 Like Vayne as his boss form would be perfect as well, or Judge Gabranth.... I think Shadow might be a good choice as well, lol, Sic interceptor on the enemy for EX, lol.
 
That is a good question. I was really wondering if this game was going to be a 20 character game. I wouldn't mind a few more characters as long as it doesn't mess with the balance.

If they do, I really don't want them to just stuff a bunch of FFVII characters,

FFVII don't have that many interresting characters to fill THAT many slots ^_^

But i agree with most people here saying Vayne & Basch should be in, they fit in to this game (better than Vaan the crossdresser at least T_T)

but... will this game have an internatioal release or just japan?
 
Garland looks so bad ass in this game! I never played the first FF, but he looks like such a cool classic villain. Call Kefka/Sephiroth or Kuja if you want, but my vote goes for Garland.
 
That does not answer the question I asked, but it does answer a block of questions all dealing with how those numbers work. I am still not completely sure after watching that, but it helped me get an idea what makes them drop and by how much.
