havent played since dreamcast!

How goes it? Played Soul Calibur when it was on Dreamcast and thats about it. Just started playing fighting games again when MK9 came out and I cant believe how fun they are now that Ive grown up and realize how complex they actually are.

So right now Im using Maxi(pad) lol, and Mitsurugi. Maxi seems to have lots of low/mid mixups which is awesome and Mitsurugi is the character I always liked when I watched Soul Calibur. However, I like having one high tier character as well or is it too soon to tell who is the best and who isnt?

Glad you gave fighting games a chance and find that you enjoy them.
Maxipad is great, his range is quite good in this game actually. It is deceptive as to how far he can reach, but good god, the man has reach!

It is a bit too early to call tier list since the game is so brand new. At the moment the balance looks pretty solid. The only character that many people in the community are vocal is Natsu. She is in no way game breaking broken, just probably the strongest character right now in the roster. It is possible that she is only perceived this way because many of us lack the general understanding of how to play the game...i.e. how to just guard her attacks.

Got'cha. Thanks for the info man. Ill wait a month or two and just stick with Maxi and Mitsurugi until I decide on who my third/high tier character will be, always gotta keep one on backup in case I start losing, haha :P

Also, if anyone is in the Treasure Coast - Florida, USA send me a message/invite. Trying to find some people locally to play the game with.
