Tell us a little bit about yourself if you don't mind. Like, how long have you been playing SC? Which characters do you use? Which ones are your least favorite. Do you play offline at all or are you primarily an online player?

Oh cool! There is a really nice offline scene in NY. I noticed you found your way to their thread already. Anyway, we have SoulArena's dedicated to every character in the game. You'll find practically all the information you need to learn the ins and outs of your characters. First though, you may want to get aquainted with how to understand all of the acronyms and move inputs that you'll see here. Check out this link and it will help you understand.

Once you've got the idea, you can head over to your SoulArena's and start reading with virtually no problems. Here are links to both Cassandra's and Taki's SoulArenas:

Well I played blazblue for the last couple of years. But with the newest update the game became too combo heavy and it stoped being fun to me.

Iv played SC since the first one on the dreamcast but iv never taken too seriously.
But with SC5 coming out next year I figured might as well get back into it.

Are you going to play competitively or casually?
 
Depends if I can make it to tournys or not. I don't have a car while I'm here in NY and depends on how much school work i have.

So right now I plan on playing casually but if the scene here is really active I will play competitively

Hope your enjoying the website!, I know you said you were mostly playing casually, but If your ever interested in playing people around your area you should check out the Regional Matchmaking threads. There are people from over the world who post there looking for offline play. Just look for your area and make a post!
