Just joined on the account of having just purchased SCV :) . Been playing on and off since good old soul edge/blade, but skipped on SCIV which somehow didn't appeal to me. Bought V on impulse, despite slightly mixed response and boy, there is a LOT to learn haha. I remember once signing up for a similar type of SC related forum way back when SCIII came out btw, is this what it eventually became?

Anyway, I hope to learn a lot from you guys (guide is incoming, got it ordered hehe) and will try to get online from time to time for some casual fights! Have fun with the game, everyone.

Glad you decided to take a chance on SCV.
It is a great game and the online is pretty solid this time around.
Have you decided which character to learn yet?
 
Thanks everyone! I am currently trying out Nightmare, due to lack of Zas, but I will likely end up with Mitsu and maybe ZWEI and Viola once I get a grip on things. Already did a few online matches and I'm very pleased with the netcode so far! I'm on psn btw, which happens to be Changzilla as well hehe.
 
Yeah, it was often my second character as I was using Mitsu more back in SC2. SC3, I played mostly with Zas, Nightmare and Asta. I've only had the game since thursday though, been mostly testing stuff, but so far, Nightmare seems to feel ok. I haven't looked into Asta yet though, so who knows :) ?
 
nightmare has very good mixups between his lows/mids/throws.
I think mastering those to confuse your opponent is the way to go.
 
Haha, that's cool bro. Btw, I've been tinkering with Cervantes and I like it, hehe, maybe I'll switch mains :) !
