Hello!

Hello guys, I've been frequenting this site for a while now and just now decided to make an account.
I used to play SCIV as Cassandra and much more recently, Sophitia. Of course, in preparation for learning to play with Pyrrha in SCV! And now that it has been released I will be spending a lot of time here learning combos, learning frame data and stalking the Pyrrha forum.

A few questions first though...
When I was reading through some posts I saw something along the lines of this 236AA (BE)
I get the basics of the 236 and AA but what is the (BE)? Is there a general guide for terminology used here? Or is it something new to do with the release of SCV?

Enjoy n_n

Aha, never mind on those questions.
I found the terminology page and after that didn't help I found out that it means burning edge from the notation poll.

Welcome to the forums!

To answer your questions...

BE stands for Brave Edge. On certain moves you can use your meter (50% out of 200) to activate it by pressing A+B+K (binded on RT/R2 by default) after you input the move. Typically this will increase damage and give better properties to the move. Pyrrha's 236AABE for example adds a third hit which guard breaks and makes the string safe.

Some of the notations are new since there are new mechanics in the game, but for the most part you should be able to find them here (if you already haven't):

I also notice that you are from London, ON. So am I! Are you interested at all in playing offline? I've been looking to build more of a community around here but I very rarely see other players from the London area.

Anyways, I hope this all helps!

Yeah, I figured out the Brave Edge a couple minutes ago. I can do it fine with the 123123BE but not the 236AABE for some reason. I guess I just need more practice with it.

Also, I would love to be involved in a community around London. Right now though my school is doing exams and starting off the second semester ( last year :D ). I'll have more time once the new semester kicks in and settles down.

Good to hear :) (and good luck on your exams!)

Just let me know when you have time and stay in touch! I won't be going anywhere :P
