GG really looks scarier than it is.
A lot of characters have similar chain combos and most characters have similar jump cancelable moves for air combos.

I'm not saying that there isn't a lot of character specific combos, but you do not need to relearn the game with every character you play. There is a lot fundamentals that make GG a lot less complicated than it would appear when you see people doing a high level match.

I used to play Guilty Gear but I was meh compared to other fighters I've played so I just stopped playing. Never could understand the blocking into punish game... I tried so hard to play smart but everything on offense seemed so safe =/ . But again I was pretty bad at the game...

When I did play I used May. Dolphins for crossover or suprise attacks. Plus her 236,236 S special saved my life so many times since it freezes better than most other attacks. xD
