100% humidity? 95+ degree temps? Your AC is bound to be broken so make it out to Heidelberg's on 16th and Old Cheney to stay cool and celebrate the first time Soulcalibur V has been added to the tournament roster there. The folks over at MSK have been nice enough to heed the SC crowd here in Lincoln and throw in a $50 tournament win bonus to make things interesting. Where else can you drink a brew, random CE your opponent, and potentially win $50 towards buying you a deep freezer to stick your face in all summer?

Entry:
  • Starts at 1PM on 07/14/2012.
  • $10 for each tournament.
  • 1st place nets 60% of the pot with an added $50 bonus.
  • Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition will also be played as per their usual tournament roster.
Ruleset:
  • Best of Three Matches (Best of Five for Winner's/Loser's/Grand Finals).
  • Best Three of Five Rounds.
  • Double Elimination.
  • One button check match allowed.
  • Random stage unless both players agree to a rematch.
  • Loser may choose to change characters, winner must remain with his character.
  • Dampierre is LEGAL.
  • Devil Jin is BANNED.
  • Random CEs are BANNED. (just kidding)
  • Patch 1.03 will be used.
  • Play will be on the Playstation 3 and as such we expect players to bring their own controllers.
Most story lines are old and washed up like MKL's Yoshimitsu play. Let's focus on making the Nebraska Soulcalibur scene look good, creative, and competitive to our 2D fighting peers. Hope you all can make it after the EVO hangover.
