Just a thought on the veteran fighters

I was thinking the other day that in the 16th and 17th centuries, people were middle-aged at an early age (like mid to late twenties), so Sophitia, Taki, Cassandra, Hilde, Setsuka, and Siegfried would be at an advanced age (around 50 in today's standards). What really adds to this is Sophitia and Hilde's pregnancies. Their bodies would be ravaged by the birthing process especially since they had two.

Sound off in the comments

I would agree on Sophitia and Hilde but as far as the rest of the veterans go, I'm pretty sure back then they some rigorous training to keep themselves in shape but just enough to keep them healthy. I also agree that most fighters around that time period would be pretty old by now because they didn't have the advanced treatments to remain young or simply not age like we do (depending on genetics, that is. ).

Well actually the short lifespans are chiefly due to the lack of medicine to fight diseases that often attacked children at the time. Couples had lots of children in the hopes that one managed to grow up. The truth is, besides that depressing tidbit, is that people really had a similar life expectancy to that of Japan (late seventies for men, late seventies/early eighties for women). Though I would have to imagine that they would feel middle aged because of them endlessly fighting over a demonic sword.

Also, most of the locations they fight in aren't exactly immaculate...
