Le Bello's Challenging Create-A-Soul Challenge Contest!

I already posted it!
Read up, good Sir! xD
If you missed it, that means everybody will miss it, and that means Ink (is moi name) will get no votes! * panics*
Yes that is me. :P

Sorry for being a dumbass...i saw it, read through your interesting bit of irish lore too !

Oi, Le Bello!
When does the voting start, and how do they take place?
Also how many votes are each person allowed to make?
And can people who put in an entry still vote as long as it's not their own entry?

TBC.

Each person votes for their single favourite.

Entrants can NOT vote for themselves.

I thought I'd put a date but you're right, I hadn't. This shall be ammended soon.

You can enter one design, and it can be old or new

Such excitement! The bar's already set pretty high. And Matty, if you'd like to enter another design, feel free, though it would negate your original entry, forcing you to delete it ;D

I'm a little unsure about my entry having a second look at her, I don't think its all that impressive and I actually not sure if she reads England despite who she is, I was toying with making Britannia but she ultimately even she looks more roman is appearence, I may rework Elizabeth into Marie Antoinette or someone of that nature

Maybe leave one of the pictures out of the Spoiler Tags. It's easy to miss things if they're all wrapped up.

One severely disgruntled Scotsman inbound, hopefully later tonight.

Now all we need is a Welshman...

Thanks for the advice! Getting to that now.

I thought we were doing European countries? I mean, it was originally a gift from France, but still.

Doh!

I knew that and was originally working on a revolutionary era redcoat. It wasn't turning out and I think I just chained from that America while brainstorming for a new idea. Oh, well.

Have to say, I'm really liking the proper entries. Nice work folks.

Added the end-date to the first post, in glorious pink. It's a long contest because I want people to do their best, and am aware not everyone has the time.

Ramblings:
I could have just recycled one of my other characters for this but I went with something more grounded and realistic...with a ghost dog...my reasoning is unassailable. Anyway, while Scotland has this image of being full of overweight, ginger, bearded psychopaths in reality we were brutal, vicious bastards with a healthy dose of superstition. ZWEI's style was picked over the Claymore because it's a little unexpected but does fit with highland myths and superstitions with the wolf. The style also has a brawler feel. It's like he's a knife fighter or some thug willing to headbutt you before stamping on your head and feeding said head to his dog.
As for his physical appearance, tartan is to be expected. Maybe not historically accurate but it's one of the visual tells for Scottish folk. Battered armour and smeared blue face paint were used to suggest a weathered but enduring sense of pride...because every Scotsman who's watched our country perform in any sport knows exactly what that is like.
Braw!

No offense to any of the others, as I think so far, all of ours are almost equally as good, and I mean that.
But from what I see, as far as reference goes right now, it would appear Mr. Fliptop is my biggest fear. xD
Always good to throw in some kind of teachings and a small lecture with great reference to what the country stands for.
Fliptop, I love it... good job. :)

Also Le Bello, there's something I wanted to tell you.
You said the concept to this current challenge was Eurovision.
Well, for novelty purpose, you could always try and come up with some kind of funky way to make the ratings or votes similar to Eurovision.
It would be fun.
Anyway, just thought I'd share an idea, because too many ideas are tossed away from the brain. D:

Ooh, I've been wanting to make a gypsy-inspired design for a little while now, and this may just be a good time to give it a real try. Unfortunately, gypsies are typically known for being nomads rather than pertaining to a specific location, as the challenge requires... I might want to try exploring some Hungarian influences. Although, I've an idea that might work for a Swiss lass as well... either way, expect embroidery and swishy skirts from me. Definitely looking forward to seeing how this challenge turns out - and with any luck, I'll be able to put a good design or two together for you all!

sadly, i can't even name about 80% of european countries... so, imma sit back and watch this one.

EDIT: is Latvia even a country?
