So who's going to Evo this year?

We're rooting for you. Show them how broken Leixia is.
 
Seriously, is there any other Leixia player besides Zero? Well, even if, there's probably no other Leixia that'd make to the quarter-finals.

Go Zero, but don't win - you know what's going to happen if the "annoying" character wins, lol.
 
Haha.. thanks for the confidence you guys, but unfortunately, I'm not gonna have a chance to go to EVO this year. (Maybe next year if SCV returns.) So I guess we'll have to put our hopes in Shinji and/or whichever unknowns show up and rep her.
 
That's too bad, I don't think chances are very high that Shinji will go (because of the thread he opened).
Probably not a single Leixia this year, but it doesn't surprise me at all to be honest. =/
 
She's still a somewhat popular character choice for the less "hardcore players", so I would be surprised if no one used her... it's just a matter of how far those unknown people get in the tourney. There's usually at least one unknown player in every game that surprisingly makes top 16/top 8.
 
i'd love to got to EVO and represent Leixia but i'm not getting any good practice in. Online is a joke and i really have no immediate people to play that are a challenge. people falling for easy gimmicks and getting hit by too many things is making me worse i swear. I'm gonna be so pissed if Viola wins though. talk about a broken character...
 
i dont think there will be any leixia representatives at EVO 2012.
the only hope of seeing her is if kayane brings her out, for a bad match up.
the character is so crippled that i doubt anyone will take a risk using her.
i know thuggish now plays viola, i dont expect any surprises either form any unknowns.
im nor sure we will see any leixia at the later stages of any majors anytime soon.

maybe my definition of major is a bit strict.
by major i mean evo and mlg and probably final round not a tourney where the community isnt really represented as a whole.
you really find out how hard youve been working, using leixia when you start using a higher damage character like alpha.
but lets hope leixia will win evo.
i belive she can in the right hands but your going to needs a an expert defence and good reads.
she does have the tools to do it, is just that, you need a very good game plan of mind games and tricks to do well.
thats why she isnt really for anyone.
 
MLG has many of the bigger names, but not nearly the attendance size as something like EVO or even Winter Brawl last February (which was the 1st East Coast major for SCV).

But yes, ECT, CEO, Final Round, Devastation, GVN Summer Jam, GVN Winter Brawl, and NEC are all considered majors. Not to mention those in other countries too. Like EBO.

I'm sure there are more but I don't feel like listing them all.

I wonder if we need another level of tournament? Like weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, major, Grand Slam (like the ATP system that Jaxel's following)

Then there'd be four Grand Slam events:

SBO
WGC
EBO
EVO

Oh, good to know that I'm not the only person who finds that rather... weird.

Talking about Grand Slams: That made me think of watching the US-Open Finals last year with you Hyrul. :)


BTT: I don't think we will see amazing Leixia stuff this EVO, unfortunately.
 
i happened to be just speaking to daishi's and his PA kuongk.
i asked him who was the best in the game.
he told me there were 4 best he said "viola , mitsu ,alpha and pyrrha omega ".
he said would nightmare up there but not the best at all.

i also asked him if we would see a buff for low tier leixia he said no way is leixia low tier shes mid tier.
that he couldn't speak much about his job its classified info.
so they think leixia is mid tier.
 
oh yeah just realized KBO the best leixia in the world will be at EVO so yeah he will probably have a good chance of winning.
hes from japan so should be good.

saying he's from Japan makes my confidence in him waver a little bit after seeing them get bodied in the world tourney. hopefully they come back with a vengeance.
