Limit's warriors

[08] Mercenary
Hi guys/gals!
I've been visiting this forum for quite a while now, just looking at all the great creations that you have posted. Many of you gave me new ideas and motivations to create new warriors. Now I have finally decided to post my own creations. The picture quality is a bit poor, due to my crappy camera and I used paint to makes these collages, so that didn't help either :-P

Anyway, tell me what you guys think.

First a few of my original fighters.

I like harpy, Juliet and Raziel
Raziel remind me A LOT that vampire/zombie dude from Eternal Champions (MegaDrive)
Biff is a cool concept but i believe you can improve it
Fun job on create Loktar face

ps:Dat Medusa (face) remind me so much a thing i made looong ago :D
On Deviant i've only this version, but somewhere i've the original, where pink skin parts were light green :D

This is some brilliant stuff right here. Amazing use of textures and special equipment!

I like them all, very exemplary work! And the dimness in the photos give them this real-world gritty look that's super cool. Well done. ^_^

Thanks for the comments guys!

Next week I'll post more of my CAS designs, including recreations (like my Big Daddy avatar) and more originals, but I don't want to clutter the thread with more instantly loading pictures. Could someone tell me how to make those spoiler tags everyone is using?

how did you made those wounds on Raziel??
he is cool with those wounds
I used motif 66 (the eye sticker) to make the hole in his body and made it dark red, then for the ribs I used motif 76 (the dragon sticker) in grey on top of it and finally I put motif 88 (the mountain landscape sticker) in dark red on top of that for the blood stains.

@Norik: thanks, from now on I'll use that.

All of these are spectacular! Biff is classy, gaudy, and downright funky. The pimp cane is the cherry on top. I love that big daddy too, especially since I'm a huge fan of BioShock and Ayn Rand. A few of these, like Corruption and Takashi are kinda like "wow, look what I can do," but even they have a certain charm to them. You just inspired me to come out of retirement lol.

I have a few questions if you don't mind.

1. How did you make Medusa's head? I can't figure out how you got the color gradient, eye shadow, and drippy goo there.
2. What sticker did you use on Lightning's chest?
3. What stickers did you use on Ryu Hayabusa's arm and chest?

Alright, I can see why you would think that Corruption and Takashi are more showing off what you can do with CAS than actual characters, but let me explain a bit of the development of them.

First of all the idea behind Corruption was that I wanted to make a skeleton warrior (this was before the skeleton underwear was released). Later on I tried to replace the underwear for the skeleton underwear, but it looked horrible, so I kept it as it was.

Takshi started with the idea that I wanted to create a old karateka, but without him looking overly generic. So I started with the mustache and then added the little beard, which, to me, looked pretty good together. Then I began experimenting with stickers and patterns in an attempt to make that Warrior´s Kimono a bit more unique. I actually wanted a same sort of texture on the kimono as the texture of the pants, but that was impossible. I settled for the closest thing though and put some rather random stickers on top of it. Finaly, I added a black eye andsome blood smearing to make him look roughed up. I´m still not completely sattisfied with him, but I´m not sure what to change.

Now for your questions,
1. I made Medusa´s face with butterfly sticker (motif 26) placed on it´s side and streched out as far as possible and face paint 27. The rest of Medusa is basically a lot of fish stickers...
2. Lightning´s armour has a star sticker (motif 11) in white and grey. Because of the armour it automatically mirrors itself :P
3. Hayabusa´s arm consists of motif 78 (the shield with the bird) and on top off tha one of my favourite bloodstain stickers, motif 88. His underwear has two sun stickers (motif 15), one nomal and one flipped vertical and two zippers which aren't all that important.

I'm happy to hear I inspired you to come out of retirement. A while ago I found a great Lenneth here which I copied. I looked at your thread just now and it turns out it was yours so thanks for that :P
I'm looking forward to seeing more of your creations.

I'll post more characters soon, but I first have to make pictures of them all.

I think Corruption's chest armor is a bit too regal for him. I'd minimize his physique and give him some rusted armor. As for Takashi, I think he'd look good with some brightly colored pants

This new batch is good too. I especially like Raquel. You wouldn't happen to be a Silent Hill fan would you? I think she'd work just as well without the face stickers. Fresh cadavers can be just as creepy as mauled corpses. While I'm not especially fond of her hair, Mingzhu's dress is quite pretty. Amelie's design is intriguing. It's somewhat reminiscent of the Swiss Guards. I don't really get Dr. Schultz's headgear. Is it a Voldo custom?
