Lol ranked....

For every 40 scrub theres 1 good player.

And on rank its a lot better to fight the character rather than the player, if hes good it will show early.

Met a lot of mitsus , astaroths nd natsus, most of mitsu players are in the c rank with 50~60% Ratio. all these sc4 delusional scrubs do is dash throw 66bb bb """4B"""" rinse repeat. Its like playing a zombie.

A lot of scrubby astaroths and natsus are in b rank with somewhat bad ratios.

Also 99% of the online population fc like theres no tomorrow. Even after getting launched 100 times they will still duck whenever you stand close to them...

Best thing about scv online though is giving the waves of sc4 online scrubs a reality check.

Like this one ivy player who said to me after losing horribly "in sciv my skill was unmatched". He did 214b with ivy after every freaking blocked move.

While playing Player Matches I noticed I have a gold star right near my nickname...someone knows what it means? I have never seen anyone with it.

I've pretty much played Viola exclusively. She's good at having attacks that evade and punish. Her combos are kind of hard on XBL and I get very few Just Guards. But as long as people keep doing the same punishable moves multiple times a match; I'll keep using 1B, or 8A+B to get under highs, and 4A or 6B to sidestep verticals. I've mainly played in the Collosseo. I notice more rage-quitters currently but seems par for the course. Usually, when you're playing someone with a higher win% than their skills portray, you know that they're going to quit. The cool thing about the Collosseo is that you can call them out and everyone in the lobby will know.

Regarding ragequits, if you're getting a "Communicating..." message that stops the match for a while, that's not a ragequit. It's both players' connection crapping out for some unknown reason. If you suddenly get a pop-up message in a split-second, then it's a ragequit.

Back on-topic, Ranked for me is quite amusing. I'm not the best at this game but I usually just pick Ezio the whole time and only 1 out of maybe 5 or 10 players has basic knowledge of fighting game fundamentals. They usually mash while I pick them apart slowly with mixups. Everybody online that I've faced uses either their own Ezio, Mitsurugi, or Nightmare. A lot of scrubby Nightmares just position themselves near the edge in a sad attempt to either Flapjack me out of the ring or 4A. They also tend to use a lot of 1A to either do the same thing or just knock me down.

So far I'm 16/9, and have received 2 hatemails.

Apart from ten of so Natsu matches I've had (easy wins, veteran Taki player) I've pretty much played Viola non-stop. I've noticed seeing as people recognise her as a difficult to use and frustrating character, if you win you'll either get major kudos as a reply, or a ragequit.

My online success with her is average though, still not very good at handling spacing and sidestepping with her. Nightmare keeps me at distance consistently and... don't get me started on Mitsurugi.

this can't be true. I've beasted on poeple and have had them stand there in the 3rd round doing nothing. seconds later I will get the communicating screen and then we lose connection. Theres gotta be a way to drop connection like that.

I started playing ranked again today. I guess I need to get to a higher level, it's still awful. 43-1, and people with 50% win rates are rage quitting on me, it makes no sense.

I think those are genuine disconnects, i've had it a ton of times. A lot of the time when i was winning so I started thinking it was players quitting but then it happened when I was about to get KO'd and lose. We matched again later and this time I was winning and same thing happened.

Maybe its a trade off in the netcode for SC5, for a consistent connection it will disconnect altogether instead of stuttering every 2 seconds.

When players quit you actually get a notification telling you they have left. There is no 'Communicating...' beforehand, the game will pause for about 2-3 seconds then you get the message.
