London Calling Results and Shout-outs

Nice meeting all of you. I'm looking forward to getting back into SC properly when SCV comes out and giving everyone a run for their money. I know a couple of others who I can get some regular practice with offline too who'll come along in future.

Synraii my stick is nostalgic but it's not as good as yours. The buttons were really nice and much more comfortable. Good work on the ground tech off Mitsurugi's 2k,b too.
 
I am really gutted that I missed out on this. I really wanted to come to this aswell. But congrats to the winners and it seems like the tournament was good. Hopefully, I will get the chance to see you guys in SCV!!
 
Belated shoutouts to all! Congrats to Tsubasa who was a worthy champion and really played fantastically well in the final. It was great to hear that you took on board what I said about throw breaking, and that was the last little thing you needed to become a fearsome player. And your Dranakal-inpired safe-as-houses play worked a treat.

Thanks a lot to the new players Paragon, Joshasaur and Bushy for getting involved, I hope you all had a lot of fun.

Thanks to Synraii for setting up the tournament, and also impressing everyone with his array of skills once again.

Btw I used Taki and Astaroth in this tournament as well (and maybe Nightmare..?)

GGs to Silent Joel and Shoju, who have shown great support for the scene by coming to tournaments throughout 2010.

yeah man...lucky i wasnt on that island but i always knew..you re my awesome LUCKER :D ..m8..shade and me are planning a major strike on all you guys next year...buckle up b"%'#s ;) lets only hope SCV can keep up...anyway

Sorta off topic, but what happened to talon, waidat and smotu, among other UK players? Didnt these guys use to be pretty good and active players?
 
Come SCV - I will continue to provide interviews, but they will be much more professionally done, lol. I'll also be talking to all the players if possible, not just the top 2.

Now, onto your question:
The UK community died a couple of years ago, so quite a few players were lost sadly. =/
Talon I met at take all comers - he still plays and he's still really fucking good, we had fun playing secondary wars, lol.
If by smotu, you mean Shoju, he was there, but had to leave before the tournament, had some fun Rugi mirrors, nice guy.
As for the others, there were a lot of people who didn't show up. If the whole offline community showed up, I would say we would have in easy excess of 20 players. =/

No idea. Dude went by SMOTU, or "Sergio, Master Of The Universe" when he, talon and ryan hart visited for a larger multi game tourney several years ago. Smotu won the sc3 tourney at the event btw. Very skilled player, would be a damn shame if he stopped playing. I'm really glad to hear that talon is still playing though.

Talon is still very much active as far as I'm aware. As for Waidat, I'm sure he will dabble with SCV, but to what sort of extent is anyone's guess. Age_of_Truth and Synraii are pretty much the active figureheads of the UK community, so there's a solid base to build from. It's just a matter of dedication and enthusiasm from other players to make us really competitive.
