Tournament was alright. Dual consoles was pretty bad. . .and the fact everyone thought SK Was banned confused me. . .
 
shitty tournament imo (SC4 that is, everything else was great). So if one person wanted 360 and one person wanted PS3, they did a coin toss. I got 360 on my second match, and won it somehow although I normally play on ps3 w/a converter.

Actually the first time I played on a little CRT on PS3, something seemed off with my controls. I don't know if it was lagging then, it was just the size of the TV messing me up or what...or maybe mine at home actually lags? lol whatever. Anyway yeah we're not doing that shit again. I told them PS3 was tournament standard, then some guy speaks up with "well PS3s are pretty much extinct!" great reasoning
 
yeah, I shoulda been there with "bitch smack" assist. 99% chance arstal was the one with the PS3 remark. Either way yeah, shit ain't happening like that next time I make it to a tournament.

Next time we need more people that know the generally accepted rule list. Whoever some of those guys were, were talking Cass ban =/.

I'll bring my 360/copy next time just so that we can at least run a single console tourny for it.
 
I wasn't even there. Had better things to do. Also, my reason for thinking 360's should be standard disappeared with the patch.

It's sad when I have more fun playing SC4 online in lag then playing IRL.

PS3 IS THE TOURNAMENT STANDARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (cannot stress this enough)
No vader / yoda / algol / custom characters / bonus characters
Color Edit only allowed for finals
button binding is legal
random stage select
default time and life bars

that's not that hard to know, someone shoulda called me.

Is there a reason for that color edit rule?

Once I get my PS3 stick in, I can live with those rules. Thankfully it's getting shipped tomorrow.

Also yeah I hope it stays PS3, that's one of the main reasons I bought the PS3 version

The thing is when you have two-three people that are like. . oh this person is banned because *random reason* and no one knows the rules then we have a problem. . .

I know PS3 is tourny standard, but at least bringing another 360 we could have ran it on a single console.

The only thing set in stone nation wide is: Health/SG meter, stage selection, and no custom characters/bonus characters. Where is there any uniform ban on everything else? Vader/Yoda are looking to be allowed in nationals so why not allow them? What's wrong with using your custom version of a character if you make it prior to the tournament's start?

i gotta agree with u on this one. what's the point in callin it a tournament if we dont stick to tournament rules.

(from the national fuckin rules forum that I guess nobody looks at, only diff is the color-edit during finals. I'll PM Jaxel to confirm, if it isn't tournie legal for nationals then whoopty-fuckin-doo, as if thats a hard thing to adjust to)

well aside from the rules issue, i enjoyed the tourney. it was my 1st 1 for this game and it's nice to finally meet some of u guys over here. so good games everyone that was there :)
