MLG Video Team introduction / help me out!

Hey Guys,

My name is Brian aka "lets go home." I work for MLG and will be working your stage along side with MK and KOF. My main job is editing the MLG Weekly together and exposing content from around the world and from MLG. I will be working the fighting stage shooting footage for the Weekly.

I recently went to my first fighting tournament, Apex 2012 and shot some footage for MLG. Here is a link to the footage (starts at 18:52)


I originally came from Counterstrike 1.6/Source back in the day and then switched to Call of Duty 4 for Xbox360 and now an avid fan of Starcraft 2 after I got a better computer after college. I know my background isn't in the fighting games competitive wise but I grew up with Street Fighter, Tekken, DOA, and Soul Calibur as my brother and I still to this day like to challenge each other in something we're both equal at, but not necessarily good.

So what I want to know is who are some of the big names in the community I should be looking out for? Rising stars? The legends in the community? etc.

Please help me out, I would love to see your game along with other fighting games on the circuit stay with us.

There are quite a lot of big names here, as well as a good amount of up and comers. The list would end up being huge, but the problem is we don't even know who's going since there is no MLG thread in the tournament announcement section for people to RSVP on. I would suggest having someone from MLG create an announcement thread there first, that way we can get a better idea based on the RSVP on what big names and rising stars are planning to show up.
 
A big problem is a lot of west coast players have already commited to go to Nor Cal Regionals (MLG tourny is same weekend) and there are plenty of big names that will be at NCR.

But I love the excitment that the announcement of MLG, and its employees are anxious to help us. Thank you for all your help
