These all look like they could be improved on a lot, sorry to say... Just looking at some of these, I'm thinking "why wasn't X part used instead?"

It also doesn't look like you used any extra parts or stickers, which are the most versatile parts of this creation system.

Whoa, no need to get defensive! I partially agree with him though. It does seem that patterns, stickers, accessories, etc,. are also essential to this character creation to make great characters. But then again, you can have make a good character without relying on them and just focus on coloring parts. I don't think these characters need additional stickers/patterns since they're based on characters from series, but some of the choices in equipment doesn't grab my attention enough. That's the cost of making characters based on trademark characters: it literally limits creativity, because it has to look like something already made

All my characters i make are normally based on anime or video game characters. I hate making custom characters that dont belong to anything because they feel out of place. I can only make with what the game gives me. Fact is if your a fan of Record of Lodoss War, it doesn't take much thought processing to realize that Hey! Thats Parn and Deedlit!

I've got my own thread, just giving you some constructive criticism. But how about I just point out what immediately comes to mind? Going from top to bottom:

1. Why not use the undergarment swimsuit that has an open chest? It looks exactly like her costume. Use the circlet headgear (which is used in the CAS right below her...), use a crescent moon to make her little dangling necklace, and use stickers to trim edges in gold (such as the boob opening, edges of gloves, etc.) There also may be a better glove choice, but I can't think of one right now and those aren't too bad, they fit the character well enough.
Oh, and make her eyebrows white.

2. Use these shoulders (sorry to use a pic, don't remember their name offhand):
Anubis4.png
make her ears stick out more, and add a purple sash. The brown belt doesn't really make any sense if she wears a purple sash. Also pick a better glove, hers look like a blue glove, not a brown bracer.

3. Where's his cape? Or does he not wear it a lot? Sorry I don't watch Lodoss War, but since in the pic he has a cape, it looks like you could use the wizard cape just fine, it even has a huge collar. There's also a better waist part that matches him almost perfectly, I don't have the name or pic of it, but it's literally a belt with armor that hangs over each leg (so just 2 armored flaps). It's fairly noticeable when looking through the parts. Also color his scabbard white.

4. Gutts...I can't tell what you did to his eye, but it looks way off. Jam something in there and color it fleshy. Also extra parts and stickers can be used to make one of his hands look iron. I am a huge Berserk fan and most Gutts disappoint me, but I realize there are limits to the CAS system and usually don't complain if it looks like a good effort. However, this one just looks lazy to me.

5. Berserk armor, more like Leviathan armor. I know Berserk armor is awesome, but it's REALLY hard to replicate, and sorry to say but it just doesn't look even close. It's not a failure on your part, I've just never seen a particularly good berserk armor in soul calibur yet.

6. Alucard: Yes, where's his gloves? And his tie? I would have personally went with the engineer boots rather than the cuffed ones, but that's just personal preference and not really a gripe. His hat looks a bit silly, but I can't remember if there's a better hat off the top of my head right this moment.

7. Gourry looks decent overall. My only real complaint is that you didn't try and replicate his armor's dark color and just made it black instead. His clothes are also rather dark (right now they look like what color his armor SHOULD be). And as stated for the first one, you could use stickers to add the gold edges on his sleeves. I would also recommend a different breastplate, his is quite small, and you could then use zipper stickers to replicate the brown straps. I would also suggest a different waist part that includes only hip armor, or even using a plain belt and a turtle shell on each thigh the way I did here:
Rider_Enoch2.png

8. Freddy could use some stickers to make his face look more messed up, but he's mostly fine and wasn't there when I made my last post.

Whoa, no need to get defensive!
Seriously! I see a lot of suggestions/criticisms around these forums and was just being honest :\

1. Gourry. Making his armor black was more or less a creative choice. Only in the first tv series did he have blue armor. In the following four other tv series and one of the movies he wears the same armor but black. Most of the other characters also had changes like this done to them after the first series.

2. Parn. Having his sword like that again is a creative choice. He doesn't get the more epic sword untill later on in the story. Im Doing Pre knight parn. Without the fancy cloak and sword.
Sure the Wizzards cloak looks fine but it clips badly on his armor. Least in SC4 it wasnt a problem with the cloak. But for some reason in SC5 it clips pretty bad. I dunno. I know which side armor your talking about but i havent unlocked it for the males yet. The female characters get a really good one that would fit the armor better but i cant get it on male characters..

3. Guts looks fine. I've made some alterations to him. But his overall appearance looks fine tbh. I would of made pre black swordsman Guts but SC5 lacks the stuff to do so compared to SC4.

4. Deedlit. The purple stash is a creative choice too. She never wears a stash in the ova or the tv series. And her bracers and boots are made of brown cloth in the OVA. in the TV series she wears blue gloves and blue boots. But SC5doesnt have anything that comes close to what she wears in that area.

5. Priotess. i like to keep my characters clean without adding too much clutter to it. If i start adding moons and stuff its gonna look like a mess like that dude u postered. Anyway i've tried that suit but it doesnt work with the skirt and it doesnt look like the same dress. but two seperate ones. I've altered her gloves anyway to be abit smaller, made her look abit different too. The leather tunic doesnt allow for stickers. Else i would of used them.

6. Alucard i've already fixed. It only dawned on me that i was missing his gloves and neck tie after i finished uploading the pictures. If you look on wallpapers and renders of him, he actually wears long victorian boots. Not short ones like the engineer ones you mentioned.

For Parn's belt armor, I just checked, it's called the wizard fauld (wizard something, I forget the second word). I'm not certain what level it unlocks, but it's 1 or 2 rows underneath the hip armor that's covered in scales. If you're a low level, I would suggest clearing arcade mode on easy over and over until reaching level 53 (it doesn't take too long, it's getting to 99 that's time consuming), as that's the last level that gives you parts/weapons. Everything past that is stickers and portrait parts.

Priotess: If you're worried about "clutter", you might want to go back to SC3. Parts and stickers are what allows us to make details that aren't part of the default parts and helps make recognizable recreations.

Here, I made my own as you so nicely asked me to, and it certainly doesn't look "cluttered" from adding a simple necklace, which is something she wears in her original design anyways. As for saying my Anubis is "cluttered," well let's look at the reference picture...horns on waist, check. Green neck armor, check. White thing on chest, check. If it's on the character you are recreating, and you CAN do it to some degree of accuracy, you probably should. Attention to detail is what sets a mediocre CAS apart from a great one.

You edited your post since I first read it, but you're really bad at taking criticisms :\
You post a picture, then complain when I point out things that don't match the picture you posted, and complain about suggestions as well.

In Level 57 btw and i dont have any wizzard fauds. No i actually Listened to what u said and did improve on some of the characters. Priotess however is staying the way i made her. I just dont like that design you made. The elf ears are great though. I had major trouble even doing some basic ones.

Yep, female only which sucks. Unless i make parn a woman lol im not gonna be able to use it. Gonna upload the final version of Priotess anyway, lemmi know what u think.

Pirtotess, Deelit and Gatsu are 9/10 I would reconigze them without problems.

Pram and Yubei may be 6/10 your designs are flawless but they are generic characters what makes difficult to recognize difference them from random warriors.

But Alucard is just a no no.

I apologize if I'm being abrasive, but I see that nothing more than an excuse not to make something other than anime characters. You mean to tell me that making a totally original character you made yourself feels more "out of place" than random anime, videogame, comicbook, etc,. characters that have already been done to death? When it comes to Creation, nothing is "out of place," because everything is up to the player.

You may not like it. but his recreation is a lot more accurate to Pirotess than what you provided. You really need to keep an open mind when using character creation (not just SCV's), otherwise you're going to end up with a lot of uninspiring creations.

To me it isn't though. None of it matches. The swimsuit looks too shiney and out of place and it looks too flat for the rest of the stuff. Plus the yellow is way too bright. I much prefere my version of Priotess way more. Plus the shoulder armor isnt even connected to the main body piece. seriously i hate that.

But good key point is. Everyone has their own creative differences when making something. Not two pieces of art are going to look the same if drawn by two different kind of artists. Each one is going to put their own style to it. And in the case of my priotess and yours, we share the same overal design. But how we do it is differen't. But both versions look like the same character. And any fan would still reconize who the character is.

Pirtotess, Deelit and Gatsu are 9/10 I would reconigze them without problems.

Huh? You mean Priotess, Deedlit & Guts. I don't know why people keep persisting that he's called "Gatsu" When he isn't called that not even in the original manga. Must be some dodgy fan translation... hmmm.

Pram and Yubei may be 6/10 your designs are flawless but they are generic characters what makes difficult to recognize difference them from random warriors.

You Mean Parn and Jubei. Again, i'm unsure if your trying to be funny or not with their names or if its a grammer problem that you have, if your not too familiar with the english language, which is no biggy anyway. But, It really can't be helped if they "Look" generic. Thats pretty much how they look in the anime/manga. So its not my lack of creativity for example if Jubei looks too generic or simple. Same goes for parn. I'm not going to put a pink cloak and snake head on the character for the sake of making him look not generic.

LOL, not sure how this thread got off track. I’m visiting all the CAS threads to catch up; I only knew a couple of these characters (Freddy, Jubei, Alucard) but I thought you did a pretty good job with them (and with the characters I didn’t know, based on your reference pics). I wouldn’t have had any suggestions myself without attempting the characters. So good work.

On the other hand, even on my thread my favorite creation I’ve posted so far (Liara) a lot of people had good criticisms. I thought that was a really positive thing and I endeavored to create an alternate version of her as a result — even though I still like my original version. So criticism isn’t a bad thing, just depends how you take it I guess.

Keep posting stuff, even if it’s “just” anime recreations. ;-)

I think your Sakura looks pretty well done, from the coloring to the clothes very nice.
I'll have to agree with the rest on your other creations.
But if you like how they look like than by all means leave em as be. But if you are just disacknowledging (don't know the word for it) their critiscm out of some childish spite than that would just be counterproductive.

@Draco
LOL at the Courage pic.

Im not though :) I listened to some of the feedback and improved some of their designs. I've got a Mummy and a Beastman i'll be uploading when i get around to it. Expect more pictures!
