So recently, I have been trying to recreate some characters from Final Fantasy XII. I realized that some ppl have already made Vanille, Fang and an awesome looking Lightning on the other thread. So I have decided to do the rest of the characters from that game.

SNOW VILLIERS

He's one of the main protagonists for those who have never played the game.

She's one of the subordinates of Barthandelus, who is the main villain in this game.

He's another villain from this game. I found the hair to be hard to recreate so I just use Xiba's hairstyle since it is kinda animeish.

Just like Snow, he's one of the main protagonists from the game. I have recently removed some of the stickers from his clothing as it does look too busy up there.

So I tried to recreate Wei Yan and Guo Jia from the Dynasty Warriors series. Below are some pics of them. I enjoy recreating characters form this particular series as they tend to have complicated but really nice character designs.

Pics below are of Zhang Chunhua, which is Wang Yuanji's mother in law.She is introduced in the upcoming Dynasty Warrriors 8. She has a very nice design in that game, so I tried to recreate it.

Just wondering - Why DO you stick random nonsense stickers all over them? Your Zidane is almost good, but the stickers being flung on like that completely ruin it. Since the character doesn't even have any detail like that, I was just wondering what caused you to add them?
 
I also agree with Le_Bello. Sometimes, you kill the character by drowning it with stickers. However, I'll point out the ones I liked.

Cyclops, Spiderman, Subzero, Captain America, Lu-Bu, and Guo Jia.

Cyclops looks like Cyclops. There isn't much I can say since he looks like the typical Cyclops. Same with Captain America.

Spiderman is nice because the stickers and patterns are kept to a minimum. It's a bit simple, but with a few modifications it can truly shine. Spidey believe it or not is a favorite Marvel character of mine. Good job on making him nice.

Subzero is nice, but the bottom half just looks plain. However, I dig the top half. The colors also need to be toned down slightly as he's not a superhero like Cyclops, he's a warrior.

Lu-Bu and Guo Jia are both nice, but the stickers and all just felt "slapped on". Regardless, they both give me ideas.


In general, don't just slap on stickers to force your crowd to believe it's Roxas for instance. Some people who know what they are want it to look "natural". Not stickered up. Basically, try to keep the stickers to a minimum and compromise "trying to look the same". Your Spiderman and Subzero pretty much accomplish this imho.
