Hello 8Way's Online Community, my name is Fenris Zero and I'm here to help.

It has come to my attention that many of the online community feel they have stagnated, plateaued, and other wise are unable to improve. I want to help you all to get past this block but in order to help you; you must be willing to want to improve. It's not going to be easy. As a matter of fact, if it was easy it would defeat the purpose, but that is what makes getting better feel good.

To improve you need to realize a few things:

1) You're not the best. There is always someone better.​

2) Complaining gets you no where. It won't change a damn thing, so learn to live with it.​
​
3) Losing isn't the end. As long as you keep trying and learning from your mistakes it's worth the embarrassment.​

4) No CaS. CaS are buggy and things that would hit, say Rugi, may not connect on a Rugi CaS. Recolors and customized characters are fine.​

Now, I'm a good player. I'm probably better than most of the online community, but I'll be the first to admit it: I'm not the best nor will I be, but you know what? I'm still going to try because that's why we choose to play fighting games.

I want us to put forth an effort to get together at least once a week where we can all get together and play a few matches, fix a weakness, give advice, share knowledge, and more. There are no prerequisites to join in. You can be a Veteran or a Nub, I don't care because we're all here to learn.

Every Saturday after 5:30 PST I will make a Serious Business lobby called Fenris SC MD on Xbox.
Every Sunday after 5:30 PST I will make a Serious Business lobby called Fenris SC MD on PSN.
If we get more people that want to join up we will go to an empty lobby in GC.

For anybody wondering how legit this is, allow me to clarify:

Fenris and I had a bit of a rocky start. The guy likes to troll, he likes to point out your faults...but you know what else he likes to do? Kick some ass in Soul Calibur. He's definitely someone worth learning from, and in the small amount of time I've spent playing him, I've learned a lot myself.

Even when I've been in lobbies playing against other people, I've learned things I otherwise wouldn't have just because Fenris was there watching. I can't tell you how many times I've heard: "Fahros B6 punish that on block", or "Fahros step the second hit to the left there", as well as other little tidbits of information that I did not know, just because I haven't memorized all the frame data and properties of all the characters moves.

Playing with Fenris is not only going to give you frame knowledge, and matchup knowledge, but you're going to learn quick all the shit you can't get away with in a match, and your overall play is going to become a lot more calculated, and effective.

If you want to get better at the game, take him up on this. If I had more time, I still would be.
 
thinking about it now, i don't know why i posted my info there. fenris already knows me lol, i probably could've just sent him a message on XBL.
 
I'd definitely love to join and play some serious matches with you, Fen. All trolling and jokes aside, you're a damn good player and I would love to improve my game by fighting you and other veterans.

Well, I've actually been doing this for some time with players that frequent the 24/7 lobby and I figured that I could do this on a larger scale.

Glad to see people interested so far.
 
Anyway on a serious note Fenris can actually help you guys out. Me and Fenris have been playing SC with each other since our SC4 scrub matches (cough keep losing to Yoda Fenris cough cough). He knows his shit whether he likes to show it or not.

But Fenris, Everyone Says You Are Bad At The Game. How Do You Expect To Teach People When You Lose To Siegfried. That's Like a 7-3 Match Up In Your Favor. Also Since We Are Throwing Out Favors, Will You Play With Me? I Mean, I Have Never Been With An Older Man So It Might Be A Wonderful Experience. Do You Have The Experience To Tame These Burning Souls?
 
i just go with my dark souls philosophy; death/losing isnt failure, quitting is failure. kinda goes w/ your 2 and 3 up the fenris.

i like playin fenris, but when we playing for real i dont think he like's playing me. Hugs and kisses clash and fenris forever love mike.....

PS: Id hit that......... and all jokes aside fenris is an amazing person to train vs. He might talk shi or what ever but i think deep down he likes us all but that scrub twizted raven.

Im just salty that when i totally sucked at the game no good people wanted to reach out and play with me. And when i would try to get games vs good people they would ignore me AHEM. So now i dont even ask good people for games. I was down to get owned by fenris yesterday on 8wayrun 247 but then once zooom beat him with voldo he quit :( KEEP 8WAYRUN24/7 ALIVE

Oh, fine. I'll be a team player and put Ellie away for the training sessions. That's how much I care about you, Fenris. :P And how down I am with this entire thing.

We should distinguish which online platform we're on. Most of us here are on XBL, including Fenris. I'm sure an equivalent could be made on PSN, but it seems like this shindig will be taking place under Microsoft's roof. Also, many of us are in North America.
