so my friend made a drawing of a cat in the shape of a box (an xbox live friend) and i have been trying to think of what that could possibly look like xD he calls it catbox lol
 
Hey all,

After winning 100 dollars at the company Christmas party, I decided it's time for my Naturalistic vivarium project to get under way. This build is for a 20 gal long, vertically oriented. (30x12x12)

Check it.

2 painting boards, stapled together and back side lightly siliconed for water resistance. I am building it on this background so I can take it out of the tank easily if I ever sell it or what have you.

Next I stapled the wood pieces where I wanted them, through the back of the canvas panels. I angle-cut plastic cups for planters with my dremel and placed those where I wanted them. After that, I made a border about 1" high with masking tape around the canvas panels. Then, applied great stuff. (fun part!)

After the great stuff cured, I removed the masking tape and did a test fit of the background. Because I'm so perfect, naturally it fit like a glove. ;)

This picture is of the tank on it's back per se, taken from the side to show stick perch.

Next, I removed the background from the tank and applied silicone and coco fiber, I left some places without silicone for a big surprise! (well, not that big)

Here is a picture of the coco fiber application completed. There is about an inch deep over the whole thing, when I pic it up, the excess should fall off and I will be left with a thin layer. (I think I over did the fiber sprinkling, but thats ok, it will fall off)

Pretty sweet eh? I'll post more as it nears completion.

Omfg soooo tired. Sitting in triage waiting for my test results. Meh, I hope I can go home soonish.
 
Well, yesterday I shook off the excess coco fiber from the silicone and was left with this.

Now it's time for the surprise, I used non-toxic lead free Testors brand model paint and filled in the gaps where I applied no silicone. This gave me a nice "rocks poking through" look. All that's left now is to seal and add wear and tear and a little texture to the rocks.

Well it wasn't appendicitis. It was kidney stones and all that fun stuff. I'm sleepy. Where's my vicodin? x____x
 
I think i may have bleached one of my eyebrows,
I got pure benzoyl peroxide on them.. It bleaches stuff doesn't it?
If it does, then i'm prepared to bleach my brow.

I'm gonna guess you wear contacts.
I put some lenses in that peroxide stuff once, I completely forgot it wasnt normal solution, then put in a lens. holycrap!
it was insanely painfull. And for some stupid reason I assumed i would of put the other lens in normal solution, so put that one in aswell. urgh my idiocy is amazing sometimes.

Benzoyl peroxide is for acne. XDDD
I wear both contacts and Glasses and i never got that shit in my eye...
