i dont wanna bulk up, i wanna get lean. >_<

Psylo make me something :D

I already told you what to do, Go here (enter height in inches!):

BMR Calculator

Write down your BMR, and subtract that number by 500 calories. Try and monitor your intake and maintain a 30% protein, 50% carb, and 20% fat diet. Consume this amount each day, DIET IS CRUCIAL TO SUCCESS!!!!

Next, start excercising. If you really want to lean up, a low intensity cardio like I suggested in another post is the way to go. Keep that heart rate around 140 - 168 or so. Do this for 5 weeks before switching to circuit weight training (high reps, low weight) to avoid platueing.

Low Intensity training plan. (Adjust speeds and incline so you can finish your hour out, but be about dead by the end)

Treadmill
Workout Time: 60 mins continuous

6.0 incline, 3.5 speed 10 mins
0.0 incline, 6.5 speed 5 mins

6.0 incline, 3.5 speed 10 mins
0.0 incline, 6.5 speed 5 mins

6.0 incline, 3.5 speed 10 mins
0.0 incline, 6.5 speed 5 mins

6.0 incline, 3.5 speed 5 mins
0.0 incline, 6.5 speed 5 mins
0.0 incline, 3.5 speed 5 mins

Seriously, do it... just gotta get that diet in order. That is first and foremost.

So no one's heard of metabolic typing?

Metabolic typing is the reason why the Atkins diet works on some people, and not so on others.

There is no such thing as a universal diet that suits everyone.

or.. eat less and excersise more.

How do you know he is eating enough in the first place?

That is where people are confused so often. If your body is low on nutrients, do you think it's going to metabolize FAT to get much needed carbs and protein? The answer is NO! Your body will actually begin robbing your MUSCLES of nutrients and the FAT will stay.

Finding out the amount of Calories needed just to live is essential... as is maintaining a good PCF ratio (30/50/20), excercise suited to your specific needs, and eating enough times during the day (5-7 to keep your metabolism going).

This is all important in changing your body the way you want.

Basal Metabolic Rates are scientifically proven, Atkins and other diets that ask you to cut out certain foods are just bad diets. If you subtract or add 500 cal to your BMR and eat enough times during the day, you will see results in either direction. It's science.

i stuff myself like a balloon everytime i eat.

not with the healthy stuff either. Q.Q

srsly though, I got 5 months before my cousin's wedding.
i've got to pull my shit together >_<

5 months, 80 lbs... do-able? O_O

You need to lose 80lbs in 5 months???? God dam man thats going to be hard to do, you gotta start running and eating more. Not eating a lot but eating small meals through out the day. Make sure you eat healthy though other wise your not losing 80lbs

If you are pretty overweight, 80lbs in 5 months would be do-able, but you would definitely have to work. That means doing some research on your specific diet you will put together, start looking at nutrition labels and ask yourself if certain things are worth eating. If you burn 500 cal at the gym (about an hour of light cardio) you are going to totally negate that if you have 1 Burger King Whopper, or 2 Snickers Bars, or 2 pieces of fried chicken... it's just not worth it.

I am not overwieght and I have lost 12 lbs in 6 weeks. So like I said, work hard and you'll get there. If you half-ass the diet, you'll still lose weight just from excercising... but half-ass weight.

More veggies. Less meat. Barely any junk food. Savvy? xD

Not necessarily... lean meats are essential for protein, baked/grilled chicken breasts, game meats, fish, or lean cuts of beef are needed to maintain healthy protein levels. But I do agree with the "Barely any junkfood" comment, I cut it out completely... no soda, no candy (never enjoyed it anyway), no chips, nothing fried,

YOU CAN MAKE HEALTHY FOOD TASTE GOOD!

Good read... but I don't know where you were going with it, just FYI?

About protein turnover:

Increased Protein Turnover — As I've discussed before in my article Precision Nutrition, all tissues of the body, including muscle, go through a regular program of turnover. Since the balance between protein breakdown and protein synthesis governs muscle protein turnover, you need to increase your protein turnover rates in order to best improve your muscle quality. A high protein diet does just this. By increasing both protein synthesis and protein breakdown, a high protein diet helps you get rid of the old muscle more quickly and build up new, more functional muscle to take its place.

Yep.

These guys are fucking insane and I hope they take it.

Poreotix killed it. xD.
And yeah those meats you listed are very essential.
Thank you mother for healthy meals every day lol.

Ha, if I still lived with my parents... I wouldn't be eating as healthy as I do now.

My mom cooks with LOADS of butter. Bless her heart though, she meant well and some of that stuff was damn tasty.
