Resident Evil 5 demo for 360

Cla: Yeah I knew that, btw. It never even said Mixed Media Disc, just said Open Tray. :(

Tag: The IP ban was lifted yesterday, but. Now the demo has a region lock instead. So even after you D/L it, it will not play. Trust me. I know.

Uhh, it's always worked. But I downloaded it on my computer and burned it to a disc, so yeah. o_o

Yeah I'm playing it off a CD. Online play was working for me last night. Hopefully they don't do anything to stop online play for non-Jap IPs.
 
Great demo, this is just going to make the wait until March longer, though.

I'll probably pick up RE4 again for the cube this weekend solely for the merc missions. I loved those.
 
Oh boy oh boy! I can't wait til Rek sends those guns and RE4 Wii edition. Loren and I will work on our teamwork skills more. We're an awesome team so far. It's funny how she went "I'm gonna throw this!" and I ran back just as she threw the nade and everything exploded behind me. XD Ahhh, good times. We just pick up any ammo we see lying around and give it to each other. Saves some time in some instances instead of me going "HEY LOREN. PICK UP THIS TMP AMMO."

Split screening isn't really that bad. The first run through I kept looking at her screen instead of mine. >-<
 
It seems if I'm connected to Live when I attempt to start the demo even from a CD, it says "Can't Launch". This is easily remedied by not connecting to Live before you start the demo. However, it seems it will not let me connect to Live while in the demo. Therfore, it seems it's no longer possible to play the demo online outside of Japan. Fucking ass. I just renewed Gold JUST for the RE5 demo. I want a refund. Has anyone found a way to play the demo online in the US? It was working fine yesterday. What happened?

Rekano, what program are you using to make the CD? I don't know which ones fail, but I do know that it does work with DeepBurner. Follow the vid in my opening post.

Cla. If that is the case (unplayable on live) then I have no use for an offline RE5 demo.

The Sinlge Play and Split-Screen are still really fun and addictive.

I hope this is some stupid little thing that is temporary or easily bypassable, cause I really enjoyed playing as Shiva in fullscreen. Really upset that's not possible in Single Play.
 
I REALLY don't see the problem of us trying to try out the demo. :\
It's free,so it's not like we're robbing them out of anything. If they don't want us to be sneaking around to get the damn demo,then fucken make it available for EVERYONE. Don't make it limited to one region. -__-
 
I'll be honest, I expect a US demo soon. Although last I heard was like, January. I think it may hit before then. Way before.
 
At least I have Loren to play with offline, but I really wanted to play with Dwayne, Albert, Rek, and other folks. It's fun.

1) The title of the game in the demo is Resident Evil 5, the American title, rather than Biohazard 5, the Japanese title.

2) The entire demo is in English, the instructions, voice acting, even the damn subtitles.

I really don't understand how this demo is suppose to be Japanese exclusive ATM when everything was in English. Again I point out how the title screens says Resident Evil as opposed to Biohazard. That one really had be scratching my head.
 
Yeah that's what confused me a bit. The title being RE, instead of Biohazard. The voices were always in English, though. In RE4, they weren't in Japanese originally, I believe. The Japanese version was subtitled. Same goes for RE5 this time around, I guess.
 
That is weird. Maybe it's like how Metal Slug 3 doesn't have blood when your 360 is set to English, but does when you change it to Japanese. See if changing your 360 to Japanese makes the demo change the game title.

If it does, then it further proves that this demo is ready for US play as Capcom Of Japan themselves have already programmed the US version into this build.

If it doesn't, then perhaps they are actually renaming the game in Japan.

I couldn't notice any difference between the chars. But I wasn't really looking. I'll give it a closer look.

Even though the gore looks much better, it seems there is less. For starters, you don't even see the decapitation when either Chris or Sheva gets chainsawed. Getting smashed or killed with a giant hammer doesn't leave any blood anywhere. I'll have to play RE4 again to double check, but it doesn't look like there's much blood when attacking enemies either. I hope this gets addressed for the final version.



In randomness, is just me or is it oddly difficult to walk backwards straight? It seems like you're always slightly veering to a side.

It doesn't seem possible cause the ban in place is a console-region ban. If you have a Japanese 360, then this trick should work. But you might not even need it in that case.

To anyone having trouble playing the demo off a CD: Do you have the downloaded demo as well? You have to delete the downloaded demo in order to play the CD demo.
