[San Diego, CA] SD revival

GGs tonight to Duragon, BillyBlutoof, and Jaz. That was some of the best SC Ive had in months. This WILL become a regular thing.

Duma....sorry you missed it. We will be doing this more regularly and when sc5 drops.......all the fuckin time. San Diego WILL be put back on the map!!

Cool Mark, appreciate that. I too am VERY excited to get my hands on this game. After it comes out, hopefully we will get the San Diego scene back up and running!

I appreciate you lookin out for us. I know your a busy guy with Tekken and all. But Ive noticed that you seem just as excited as we are. Help me get this SC San Diego scene back up and running.

All right. Im hell bent on getting SD back on the map.

So whats it gonna take people? This scene has been dead for tooooo long.

Im willing to run bi-monthlys at my house. Possibly more if the scene grows. Or is there a public place to do these? I really want to get a reliable scene going. Even if it starts with just a handful of people.

I dont think Ill be doing anymore gatherings till SC5 drops, unless a few special people are interested. I have really no idea how to get a scene going. Im hoping someone like Mark (SDTekken guy) can help guide me in the right direction. But Im willing to open up my pad for casuals. I really wanna get a good thing going!!

BTW, I invested in a PS3 now. So Ill have both systems running!

Bi monthlys sound pretty good. I really don't think theres a "special" way to get a scene going. I think it's just providing the location and the environment for it and maybe offering incentives for local tourneys and whatnot. If it's cool enough people from LA and in between will be down to drop by.

Also there's a place in National City called Comic Oddysey that will host tournaments if theres enough people. They host SF and Marvel tourneys regularly.

I already know 4 people that are down to play/learn this game. Some are OG and new as well.

If people get into SCV, everything else should come easy. The key thing is finding somewhere public to play at. Maybe you can look into what the Box Arena is doing.

Ive heard of that Comic Oddysey place. That would be fine for tourneys and shit, but Id like to do casuals at my house. Cause god damn it, if I wanna grab a beer and talk mad shit to people, I dont want someones mommy telling me to shut up.

I guess we just hope that SC5 is good enough to attract people enough to get a regular thing going.

@Malice...Im wayyyy ahead of you. Ive already PM'd Mark to see what can be worked out. If not just some adivce. Ima check out this "Box" thing fo sho tho!!

Ive got plans my self to have gatherings at my place in spring valley. You more than welcome to join us. But i would be interested in all gatheringgs in SD. I cant fuckin wait
 
You get at least 5 people ready to throw down and showcase something in SC4/SC5, and you guys should be able to get a spot at CO for casuals. If you can bring a setup with a flatscreen monitor, that would be awesome. If not, there's some available-- at the very least bring a console.

These cats go hard on SF and MvC3, but I managed to get some cats on KOF. With SC5 around the corner, there might be a chance to build hype, and get a bigger scene started...

Ima have to check out this Comic Odessey place. Ive heard a lot about it, But I havent tried to go to any comic book stores since I was 14. Im an old fart now, but I wanna get this scene going.

Yeah I'll be there tonight, since I'm trying to do things for the KOF scene right now, but I do respect all games, and would love to see some SCIV/SCV love in the area eventually... I'll be there all night, too... Oh yeah, it's $3 for the "house fee" btw...

My wife used to do the same thing. Turns out Im taking that particular firday off of work, so I can light candles, put on some soft music and emurse myself in what Im sure will be slightly orgasmic......no homo.

Id prolly be down for that. Prolly later in the afternoon so i at least have a few hours practice.

Anyone else that wants to hit up HRD's place the friday after release is more than welcome. Duragon, Duma, Hookmaster, anyone. Shit, sounds like a good time, might as well make a gathering out of it, what ya think?
