SC4 Unlockables FAQ

Hi Jay......nah, I didn't download the weapon sets yet, since I heard all the weapons can be unlocked from within the game.

I'll be downloading the 2 out of 3 of the customization packs this week, and I also heard there's SC4 themes and gamer pics for the xBox 360 dashboard. I'll probably download 1 theme and 1 gamer pic.

Considering how expensive a single MS 1600 points card costs, I gotta be really thrifty. :)

My weapon comes equipped with Auto Unblockable Attack or something, so that leaves 3 slots, and I fill them up with another 3 skills! Am I doing something wrong?
Also, I checked Gamefaqs's guide on this Honor and did what they said (with Taki), but still nothing happens.

I really dunno how to get this even after reading the guide on Gamefaqs.
I tried it on Story Mode (normal) and equipped myself with HP Burst and gave myself high defense.
Two problems: the time is up way before even 1 - 2 pieces of my equipment broke, and the character kills me before anything.
Any cheap tricks for this? I've tried going into battle with just a leather tunic for fastest breaking and nothing else, but it seems they don't let me cheat like that.

With the equal skill and power, I think your skill points need to fill up exactly what you have. That is to say if you have 100 on power, all 100 must be used, same goes for the rest. I managed to fluke this one when I was making a custom character. xD

I need help with the 'Win with all equiment destroyed' as well. I tried to cheat pretty much the same way you did, but nothing happened anyway.

Right now I'm having a problem with the 'Acquire all weapons and equipment.' honour. I've got 41 honours at the moment, therefore I should have all the equipment unlocked already. I have all the weapons seeing as I've played through with everybody already (Just counted, 8 weapons each character). I've bought the accesories that are available only when customizing original characters. However, I still don't have the honour so I'm not sure what I should do.

I've got a few questions regarding this. Firstly, do I need to unlock every treasure in TOLS even though I have them already? Is there something I missed beyond ascending 26 stages in TOLS (I got up to here but didn't see a point to reach the end if I had everything already)? Besides those two things, I really have no idea what I'm still missing. Someone please help me. Lol.

EDIT: Nevermind this 2nd part of this post. Lol. Voldo had a headpiece I managed to foresee. ><
 
I swear I've watched the intro like 5 times already and I still haven't got the 1st honour. I've been watching it through the Museum with Vader as the character selected. Do I need to watch it through the normal way, you know, as the game starts up?
 
What you should do is to start the game, keep your ****ing fingers off the controller (put it on your wiener instead), and watch the entire thing until the Soul Calibur main screen appears (the screen which asks you to "Press Start")

If you still see nothing, it means you probably got the achievement already.
Check your Battle Records for "Start of a New Era".
 
I'm having some trouble with a few Ascend parts:

FLOOR 38
Hidden Item Gorgon Fauld
Condition Defeat all enemies by Ring Out.
Pick a character with good ring out abilities, either by throws or attacks that knock opponents into the air.

Any suggestions for this one? I can usually manage these, but all three of these characters have Nullify Ring Out A, which means I have to attempt to ring them out like crazy before they finally do. Not sure what the best character/move is to spam on this one. I was thinking of using Cass' 1a, and make it so she has no attack-power, so that I can attempt it a lot without the AI dying. Would like some suggestions if there are any.

39 to 41F : : Irritation to Ruin
FLOOR 39
Hidden Item Kingfischer Greaves
Condition Clear the stage without changing position.

Can this be clarified a bit? Do I have to stand there and only use attacks that don't advance me? Can I block and be pushed back? I went in with a Cass-style char, and spammed 1a, 236b, and made sure not to move around otherwise, but I didn't get the treasure; I might have moved slightly at some point (like maybe I hit 1 and delayed before hitting A, making her move 1 inch), but I have a feeling I'm not allowed to use those moves since it makes my character move forward.

If someone could at least tell me how they got it. Maybe there's a character this is easier with. I think it deserves some more explanation for sure.

45 to 46F : : King of the Physical Realm

Hidden Item Butterfly Salet
Condition Defeat enemies without equipping any skills.

I understand the condition, but this is hard as hell. I'm mostly using Cassandra and Astaroth characters but nothing seems to work. I beat the chick before these two guys, but I can't seem to even beat the first Zas-type guy. At one point, I made all of my characters defense focused, because the AI does so much damage. That almost worked except I did no damage to them and the time ran out. So I went all-attack, but I tend to get hit a couple times, spamming 1a, 236b with Cassandra chars. I think I need a better technique to spam against the AI. Should I be going for a Critical Finish instead?

If any of you have had luck with this, please tell me what worked.
 
the only luck ive had with those "win with no skills" is picking a no skills having astaroth and spam [1] AB. or yuns 6BB.

as far as "without changing position" one, you have to go through that whole floor while staying on the 1p side. if you get jumped over, or throw someone that changes you to 2p side, youre screwed and gotta do it over again.
 
Ahh, okay. I will try that Astaroth spam. Before I was just using 63214+A.

Thanks for the clarification on the position one. I probably changed sides when I rung them out, because if you're still on the edge, the next opponent will come running from the left side.

For this I used Astaroth, and spammed bullrush (66B). It ringsout, TCs, and gives great knockback even on block. Equipped him with as little attack, and as much health and defense as he could get. Gotta keep doing it, since they all have Nullify Ring Out A. Did it on my 3rd try.

At first I took this to mean, don't use 8wayrun, or step at all. After doing that a couple of times and not getting it, I tried just standing still, but I would still use moves that required direction inputs (specifically, Asta's 1A variants). Even that didn't work. Finally I just decided that you can't touch the directional input at all, and so I essentially played without using my left thumb. That worked on my first win (it took me 4 tries to win though). But as Hot_Rod_Dave said, it's probably that you don't ever face your opponent from the 2p side.

This one was extremely hard until I ran into this little gem: Yun-Seong's 6BB. Use this move over and over AND OVER again. AI never learns. I did it first try, 3 critical finishes, EZ mode.
 
If I want to unlock everything in CAS can I just get all 30 honors to do it (I know this is easier said than done)? Or do I have to get the hidden items in Tower of Lost Souls as well??
 
Is anyone aware of a website that has pictures of all the unlockable weapons and armor?

I just bought the game (and 360) less than a week ago....so I'm obviously a newbie. But I am assuming there is no "cheat code" that opens up all the equipment without having to do the achievements and honor stuff?

I really enjoy making custom characters but I don't think I will have the time or skill to unlock all that stuff. :(

There is no cheat code to unlock all the weapons and armors.

What i did was play everyones story (special chars too) and by the time I finished them all I was at 27 or 28 honors. I found that to be the easiest and most fun way to do (personally speaking). I also found that it made the time fly by quicker as well.

I almost forgot... I still haven't played online at all, So I never got any online honors while doing this. If you mix up online play and story modes you'll hit 30 honors in no time.

Alright I cannot get the item on floor 49 of the tower. There's gotta be some better way than going for only through, since it seems the computer will randomly do a tech crouch move at some point every time and cause me to whiff.
