Setsuka's A+B Counter

According to what Angrel posted above, it seems that it only repels mids, special mids, and special lows.

i was only able to repel mids and speacial mids, i wasnt able to repel any highs, kicks, or lows. Though i did atleast 4GI's and 1JI consistently before i was able to pull off the sakura moon

It definitely repels S-Lows, though. I played against a good Setsuka player who continually aGIed Hilde's 2A.

Of course it does. Special lows have always had the same properties as mids as far as auto-GI's are concerned.

So Setsuka's A+B counter gets built up even if you use regular GI's? Or do you actually have to land A+B six to eight times per match to get the 90 damage combo to come out??

Given level 1's non-existant range, surely it's better to stick to regular GIs until you've done enough for level 2, right?

from what i remember its like *non ji*
3 for level 1 = useless
2 for level 2 = not that good *just her CH 4B*
so i guess unless u gi the opponent 5 times don't need to bother with A+B... cause level 3 is where the fun begins...
and i didn't know normal gi counts towards it and also the direction thing... sweet...

I remember reading that regular GI's and JI's count for this. I don't think they do, or at least not in full. I was just playing a match and had one JI, one GI, and then when I aGI'ed, it was still at level 1 (all in the same round, not that it matters). Since a JI counts for 3, I should have been past level 1 after the first JI. Has anyone tested this?

Edit: Nevermind... just reread the OP and missed that a JI doesn't add 3 like an aJI does.

I believe regular GI has a window of around 5 frames? A+B has 7, but the timing is a little earlier than regular GI.

Check out this vid for some A+B abuse.

So A+B could aGI S.mids and S.Lows...........
When I tried it couldn't aGI verticals or kicks............
