Hey, thanks for posting these!
The Gram looks so different first off. I kind of prefer this to that odd looking blue thing covered in runes. And I think the giant katana was pretty random but Broken Destiny looked really cool :) I bet it would look even better on a ps3 or xbox360 :P

OMG! I just searched a bit and I found pics of Zweihanders that looked exactly like the new Gram!

' The Zweihander (literally, "two-hander") was a 66 inch long sword, with a double-edged, sometimes undulating blade (flamberge), weighing anywhere from 7 to 14 pounds. It was the weapon of choice of the Landsknechte's Doppelsoldners, those who were fighting in the front rank, charging the enemy pikes, and getting paid twice as much.
The term Landsknechte translated literally means "servant of the country" and first began appearing in the German language in approximately 1470. LOL, I just found out today! I had no idea. I actually thought that Zweihanders were as huge and wide as Sieg's swords...
But I still want the old Gram version :P

Exactly... SBH looks disgusting with the thin swords, like the Katana one... Really, really weird.

Don't get me wrong - I'm all for historical accuracy, but I just don't think it would look good for Siegfried. Maybe as a joke weapon - an ACTUAL Zweihander?

I prefer that pic to the other ones, it's superior. Comparing this one to the 3D render... well they can't be compared. I want that ^ Siegfried in SCV... I really want him!!!!!!! He looks so badass and has no fluffy puffy cheeks and lips :)

meh i liked both the old gram and the new one so honestly i think both should come back. while i admit SCBD's new katana version of "greatsword" wasnt very appealing for siegfried, i will say it made me much more comfortable making a sephiroth CAS. as for "glam" while i do agree that thin swords dont look good on siegfried, i will say that this is an exception to the rule, in that both "glam" and any of his other large swords go quite well with him. and i found his P1 Soul Calibur sword in SC4 quite detestable...a giant crystalline Christmas tree if you ask me =P so if i were to make a list of swords i wanted to see again, it would look something like this:

A note i think should be made point of is the Re-Naming of SCBD's Gram. Since it in itself is a true zweihander, we could simply call the sword "zweihander". or we could alternatively use the mis-translated name for gram from earlier in the soul series, "Glam". therefore "Gram" could stay as the large thick black Sword, while his newer thin sword would be "Glam" or "Zweihander"

And Besides Without "Zweihander", we wouldn't get smexy custom characters to take photographs of with our crappy ass cellphone's because we're too lazy to use screen capture on our psp, like this:
