Edge master won't work. No human can play as perfectly as EM can sometimes. Not a good choice for offline practice. Frame Data and Safe/Punishable moves to learn are more the route to go.

Or better yet. moves that...WHIFF!

I'll be honest I have never agreed with the edge master mode but as a way of learning to make some moves whiff and for the purpose of simply traing with a dummy that dosn't just stand still. I know it will never have the mind games and mix up that a human wud it's still a way of being able to react to some moves and see the small signs of the unsafe moves some chars have.

I have enormous respect for Pantocrator, but he's not the best SCV Siegfried, because nobody is yet. I am more than happy to give his opinion a lot of consideration as he's the best SCIV Sieg, but if two top level players (Panto and Ring) have conflicting views, then there is no final word. Not yet at least.

For now, I'm going to let the hype build and hope Sieg's as strong as he thinks he is. SCV's release is the time for realism - for now, I'm staying firmly on cloud 9. =P

Maybe this is tru. But lets face it. It's all about the player and how good he/she is. Yer some matches may be HARDER to win with certain chars but Syn even you know that a skilled Maxi can beat an Average Kilik player even tho it's like what 8/2 In Kiliks favour?

Siegfried good match-ups: Talim, Yun-Seong, Seong-Mi-Na, Maxi, Rock, Yoda, Apprentice, Tira, Zas. More than 7 it's actually 9!!!

On a serious note I hardly think Siegfried will be the new Amy for SCV. What about Ezio? Shouldn't he get a fair chance as well?

I think Ezio as good as it seems. Is goin to be really nerfed. From what i have seen he has so good mix up close range and not alot on mid range and even fewer long range. So if you like close up then I think ezio will rule but be weak everywhere else.

I've seen those listed as 5:5, 4:6 (Apprentice's favor), and 5:5, respectively. There really isn't a whole lot of data on them, since these characters so rarely meet, but I've done the match up guides for all three of those, and they're closer to neutral than they are in anyone's favor, if not Apprentice's in that particular match-up.

Not to mention, all the other characters you mentioned have even fewer favorable match-ups than Siegfried...

1. I'm a europen tournament player - SW characters are not included in my list.
2. Apprentice matchup is weird anyway, but defenitely not in Sieg's favour. 5:5/4:6.
3. Even if I counted SW characters and agreed with you, 9 is hardly a majority of almost 30.

Against Tira Sieg I believe is 4:6 (With sieg being favored, although i could be wrong.)
Against Yun-seong he would be most likely either 5:5/6:4 or 7:3.

Tira is about 6:4. Yun-seong IS 5:5. That's not what I'm talking about.

Synraii said he was Mediocre in SCIV and previous installments. I said he wasn't because he has a good amount of match-ups for him.

We all know Sieg is on the Mid tier level along with Vader, Raph, and Cass. But he is far from being Mediocre in any shape or form.

Do you even know what mediocre means? It means average, nothing special, not bad, not good, run of the mill.

I'd put Zas as a 6:4 myself, but Heaton used to main him.
Same for Yun, but that's going on theory - nobody uses him in the tournaments I go to.

Imo, he has 7 6:4's+ which are:
Maxi,
Mina,
Rock,
Taki, (Some say 5:5, I say bolloks, lol)
Talim,
Tira,
Zasalamel.

That's my own opinion though - now can we please take this TO THE SCIV SA NOW???

High or low level, I'm gonna still use Sieg as my main, I have been through many low tier Siegfrieds (SE, SC, SCIII, SCIV, SCBD) and I wont change my main for anything in this world :D
