Hi everyone,
I've been a long time lurker, well, I've been a member of this forum for 2 years without posting, so yeah. I posted something for the first time a week or something ago, as I probably wanted to become a bit more active. Since SC5 is going to be released in 2 days (I live in Belgium, Europe), I decided to try to pick this game up and at least try to play this game decently.
I've been a Tekken player for 2 years and have played in some tournaments. I also play other fighting games (SF and MvC3, for example), but that's rather casually. I'll probably invest more time in SC5 than SF and MvC, as I'm genuinely interested in SC5.
I did expect there to be a kind of tutorial thread of SC in the "new player arena"-forum (like SRK has with their execution and gameplay guide), but I guess I'll just go into Pyrrha forums and lurk there. I do know some of the game engine, having played every SC casually.
As for character choice: used to play with Kilik, Xianghua and Amy. I'll probably try out Pyrrha, Xiba, Leixia or Viola. I choose characters, based on whether I like them/looks. Looking at other games, it seems I pick characters in a similar style regarding looks (Lili in Tekken, Morrigan and Trish in MvC3, Rachel in Blazblue), so I guess I'm going to try out Pyrrha first, haha.
Oh yeah, I have a tendency to make long posts. I hope people won't mind too much, haha. ^^
