Sonic Unleashed

Yes, I am pumped for this game coming out. I'm getting it for the 360 myself. (diehard Sonic fan)

Anyways, who's getting it as well?

Sega's already destroyed Sonic's name. I have no high hopes for this game. If this game turns out to be good then I'll attempt to give Sega some respect. If it's a flop, well then it just gives me another reason to dislike Sega more than I already do for destroying my childhood icon.

Sega's gone. to me, they seem to be focusing on younger generations now. they seemed to forget about the generation that grew up with him.

Sonic isn't the same anymore. Remember the days when it was just sonic, tails, Dr.robotnik and knuckles? sonic 2 for genesis was amazing!

the other day i watched my little brother play a game on his ds and i was like, who the fuck is Amy? and reading reviews on his newer games now...he has a sword? the hell?

Well, that explains it. I personally think Unleashed will be a good game.

It'll be better than Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, that's for sure.

having only a ps2 i might get that version, but really sonic games havent been the same snice genesis and dreamcast. zero gravity was ok, and sonic heroes was...decent..

haha, made my day. i hate sonic. always did, always will.

Her first game appearance (along with Metal Sonic's) was Sonic CD which was in 1993. Many people mistaken her as a newer Sonic character even though, in actuality, she came before Knuckles.

Sonic CD kicked ass by the way. It's just too bad it was on the Sega CD.

haha the more you know! never knew that, prolly cuz i never bought the CD peripheral for genesis. Shining Force(non cd version), vectorman and sonic 2 was all i needed

there hasn't been a good sonic game in 14 years. what the hell is going to make this one any better.

Wait, wait, wait. I just saw an ad for this game, and now I'm even more disappointed in Sega. Apparently, Sonic's a werewolf now. Dubya Tee 'Ef, mate? O_O

Another failed attempt by Sega to make Sonic more "edgy" and popular. <_<

A little late to the hate party aren't we?

Anyway, as "dumb" as the werehog idea is, there has been dumber and/or more ridiculous. Sonic himself can be considered a dumb idea. Seriously, a blue hedgehog that runs? "Double U Tea Eff". I've learned to just stop attempting to make sense of things that don't make sense in the first place, ie the Mario and Sonic series. I'm simply interested in the gameplay.

When the game releases I'm going to see how well it does. Granted I'm not expecting anything good.

That 1up review was fairly shitty. I think IGN did a much better job hitting the nail on the head in regards to how Unleashed turned out - http://ps2.ign.com/articles/931/931656p1.html.

Best line in IGN's review...

The daytime levels will amaze you for they harken back to the 2D classics and are positively overrun with raw speed, zigzagging pathways, loop- de-loops and more, all of it complemented by responsive controls and good technology. As far as I'm concerned, these stages are so well crafted, in fact, that die-hard Hedgehog fans can probably justify purchasing the title for the sunlit selection alone. Just resign yourself to trudging through the nighttime stages as penance for the daylight ones. Come on -- if you're a Sonic fan, you should be used to sacrifice and suffering by now, anyway.
