Soul Calibur 5 World Tourney results

This is so American:

When Omega is competing alongside RTD and Noface, he's a Dominican player from south America. When the USA players get fucked up, he's a USA player - GO USA! LO FUCKING L. (I realise he lives in Florida now, but the DR in his tag is the clue =P)
This is team USA vs team France all over again when team 'USA' won because of Lolo - a mexican national.

Amusing social commentary aside, shoutouts to Omega, winning a major like that and using Siegfried in the process: you are a LEGEND! Well done to Keev and Akire, who were only beaten by each other and Omega. Shoutouts to Noface and RTD - good shit to watch as always! Shoutouts to Hyrul, you're starting to play as many characters in tournament as I do, I enjoyed watching your matches, shame about Akire, but you did beat him twice before, so hey - my sympathies over your recent loss (your hair =P). Shoutouts to Japan, especially toilet - I learn new things every time I watch a sick ZWEI player. Shoutouts to project soul - hopefully you'll start listening to the US and European players regarding further patches now.

Overall, it was a great tournament to watch and congratulations to everyone who even qualified to get there, that in itself speaks volumes about you as players.

=)

Correction- Arutenight is also a Sig playa.

Ya- the two winners couldn't/didn't go but I'm glad Japanese are finally gettin to international comps.

Hopefully a few Japanese playas will go to EVO.

Thank you all for a good show. My first time watching something like this and I found it to be very entertaining.

I wanted Toilet to surprise everyone with his Zwei skills and, while he had some really good rounds, couldn't bring home the bacon.

Seeing OmegaDR and Keev in action was a treat.

Good shit, Omega. You, Link, and oldschool rushdown Thugish (hopefully he comes back) are definitely my favorite players to watch.

just a correction man, Dominican Republic isn't in South America, instead, we are located in the Caribbean region, but still part of the American Continent.

hahaha, me irrita tanto cuando dicen America del Sur, no comprenden q America tiene mas regiones q Norte America y America del sur. El verdadero talento de America esta en el caribe!

Lacking knowledge in overseas geography is by no means as dumb as being unable to read, so how do you figure that?

I researched about it from the comments online and many people think that Japanese SCV players are the best in the world.

I'm not aware that anybody (well, any tournament players at least) believe that the Japanese are the best in the world at SC. Myself and everybody else that I spoke to regarding the tournament fully expected the Japanese to go 0/4 in SC. Not that they are terrible by any means, but just that in THIS game, the French are so very good, and the Americans a close second.

The level of skill on display at this tournament was amazing - these are some of the best and most exciting matches I've seen in a long time. Congrats to everyone, and especially OmegaDR.

as a side note, I was fairly disappointed with the commentary, it was full of hype sure, but it lacked substance, im all for hype, but can we actually get some discussion of the game? can we get more than just continual stating of the obvious? can we get actual soul calibur players to commentate? can we get soul calibur players to commentate tekken tag 2 world finals now?

I have to agree with this, although I'll go as far as to say the commentary was just plain terrible, not to mention obnoxious. "Do you know anything about the game? No? Can you add any insight to the gameplay? No? Can you shout at the top of your lungs every time a move connects? Yes? YOU'RE HIRED!"

Filthierich and Markman got exactly the same criticism at... Final round was it?

The issue is, what you have is Tekken players commentating on Soul Calibur, I mean I may as well commentate on Japanese Blazblue matches by that logic. If you want hype, you can never go wrong with Bibulus or Malice and they know what they're talking about. =/

YAY! I wanna comment on MK9 matches :D

"The blue ninja hits the yellow ninja with what it seems to be a cloud now the other ninja does not move, why is that? someone knows?"
