Ssf2thdr!

Whoa, I had no idea that throws were instant in this game...go me. That's brutal, but awesome. Is anyone else on psn getting a lot of dropped games? I would say like 90% of games are play get dropped before the first round even starts.

This game is gonna be the death of me. My first real 2D fighter and i have already encountered some good stiff competition. I am extremely hooked. If anyone here wants to play i am completely down. Hit me up on Live

So far i main Balrog, but trying to learn Vega and Dhalsim

I'm getting a lot of errors online, but either way it's very enjoyable even though I kinda suck. Hit me up if you'd like. I play Sagat on psn.

There probably wouldn't be so many Ken and Ryu fighters online if people had some clue who their opponent was selecting. Or maybe most people who have the game aren't that good so they use one of them.

This game is better offline. I think a tenth of my games are dropped before the match starts. It would be nice to have some idea who you were fighting and what type of connection they have. I keep getting into lag battles half the time. And I have no idea how this game keeps score. I got 54 wins and I am ranked lower than people with 0-2 wins and 15+ losses. So I don't have much of an incentive to sit down and play the game for a while.

Hopefully they will take care of the glitches that are in this game and fix the online play. This game shouldn't have these glitches given how long it took to work on the game, but it's still good. And hit me up if you want to scrap.

The score's determined by the ranking of the player you beat. A guy with a ranking less than yours doesn't mean much to your standing, a guy with a ranking higher than yours dramatically increases your payout. Play the same person several times, and the points drop for successive wins.

Folks really hard up against the blind select can just count how far the other player's moved. Usually have a pretty good idea who's coming at you that way.

That's ridiculous since I have no idea who I am fighting until the match actually starts. Or did they expect me to do my own matchmaking? I don't have the time for that. And I shouldn't be punished for kicking people's asses. I just fight whoever the game matches me up with. Anyway, thanks for the info.

You get less points for successive wins, not negative points. (So you're not really being punished, just slowed down.) It's only there to prevent people from artificially pumping their score. Does kinda seem luck of the draw. (Check out Lostintime's ranking and W - L record if you want to be driven insane tho.)

One thing that's bugging me is Friendly match. How the hell do you leave a room if there are two people in it? I can't do anything to back out unless I quit the game. Am I blind, or is this the single stupidest oversight in the history of online gaming?

If you are the only other person in the room, like in a 1v1 room, it doesn't even give you that option. It just starts the next round.

It does but only after a bunch of matches. That has been my experience, when I can get a match at least. Tried to play and out of 20 tries, 13 were disconnects.

I am really happy about this and I have yet to download it since I don't have any points atm.. but I am excited to get my hands on Chun Li

LOL so according to hardcore Street Fighter players, akuma is once again broken

A jump in air fireball on block guarantees Raging Demon super. Gotta try it at home lol

If anyone on XBL wants to play this sometime, im always up for it. Ive been playing it religiously since it came out. So far, ive only played a few from this site.

It just goes to show that with all the playtesting that some games get, things will slip through the cracks. For the most part Sirlin did a bang-up job of balancing it.
