The AMAZING SC5 Online General Discussion Thread

Online's great when it works. I still get a lot of Network Errors. I've only played three Rank matches. Most of my experience so far is in the Global Colosseo. Sometimes network errors won't even let me in. That's when I wait a half hour, get in, get to play for a half-hour to an hour before the next network error.

Step G didn't let you move around more. The main thing it did was eliminate fear of mixups in many situations. So it made it less RISKY to take a step. Thus - it was a get out of jail free card. If anything, removal of step G and addition of quick step just means you actually take risk while stepping now (which you should have before) but also gain more reward for doing so.

I agree and it does feel better that I can hit people if they choose to step. So far only playing SCIV I was hindered only like the first 2 days before I decided that it was best to stand still up my def and just step off of strings. I still get hit even though I step verts. I mean I got fully behide someone and got hit the other day. The only problem I'm having now is I'm use to stepping then jumping to avoid those quakes that have a unblockable start up. Trying to break myself because it's harder to do in this game. Interupting is probley a better option. What do you think?

I will. I'm hitting up the training mode to learn Cervy, as Siegfried is garbage and Idk if there's any chance of him getting buffed; frankly, i dont give a rats ass if he gets buffed or not. It'll be slow growth, (as I'm a slow learner) but I'll "get" Cervy, and hopefully, I'll be a stumble above punching bag with a "higher tier" character with SOME kind of knowledge on the usage of his tools... (though I'm a "shit-tier" player lol) :)

Im telling you, just run up and do throw/mid mixups, its all you need :D

The answer is no. I see no point in making blind bets unless your just having fun with your friends or playing poker. Also we will meet offline don't worry. You'll have your chance to see who is better. Honestly at this point I am also excited to see how good I am or how bad I am. Do you already know how good you are? Have you already played at a tourny in the 2 weeks or so the game has been out? Personally I think at this time there are way to many variables to have any idea how good anyone is at 5. Hopefully we meet at a lot of tournies in the future considering results must be reproduced before proven a fact.

tbh, though... I don't like this so much. I'm thinkin I'm about to go back to T.Z. because I'm essentially playing Tekken, but with Swords. (this is PROBABLY going to get me ostricized... But, it's totally how I feel about this)

Dampierre is so fun! Natsu is kinda toguh, but I'm kearning her slowly. My yoshi needs more work. Done rambling my mains lol. Oh and Hilde is haowt!
 
My goodness, I have actually found a great way to put dampierre to use online!! He's so fun to abuse/troll/make your opponent awe at his JF kicks in a combo.

Also I drew with a C rank player, I was pissed because he clearly didn't deserve to win (and this was a maxi, so I'll put a lil blame on myself). But yeah, I saved the replay along with the inputs....

Actually, has anyone considered saving and perhaps uploading their online replays with button inputs enabled on both P1 and P2 sides? I might try two versions out (let's expose those mashers lol....)

I like how the "Amazing" part of this thread was contingent on people being angry that trash players could win in awful SC4 online. Now with the improvements to the game, there is nothing left.

Now that is amazing.
