Valkyria!

Anyone that doesn't use Marina for their sniper fails, she's miles ahead of any other sniper once she reaches level 16. I posted my entire initial playthrough of the game on my youtube channel if anyone cares to see it.

Wait..I'm assuming you're referring to the Japanese version, right? To my knowledge, the English release only goes up to A rank..or...am I missing something here?

Also, for those of you that have finished chapter 11 by now, I have a couple of words:

Yeah, S rank is equivalent to A rank in the US version. I just have a habit of calling the highest rankings S rank in general since that's pretty much the standard. Not exactly sure why they changed it, as all they did was take out the A rank range and divided it up between the B and C ranks.
 
Sega finally done something right long since its genesis days. Too bad they didn't hype this game much, instead they went and put commercial for their new Sonic game.

Yeah, it's a shame really. The only people who even bothered to pick this up are the ones who have been following it since September of '07 or so. The others that are starting to pick it up are getting it through word of mouth or their friend's recommendation.

Like you said. They were pretty much too busy with the hype for Sonic Unleashed instead. It is nice to see a really good Sega game though.

I can only think of a handful of recent titles that are actually good by them now :/

Finished my A rank run. Definitely a lot easier the second time around. I'm pretty sure the easiest way to beat this game is by rushing it. First, you get more experience and money, and second, if you're beating things in minimal amounts of turns, that's less enemy phases to screw you over.

The only really hard level was the last chapter you fight Jaeger in. Even that would have been easy if I didn't convince myself that I had to kill Ty the Immortal once and for all. He's just as bad as Selvaria imo.

Lol poor Ty. I wish they had a profile about him explaining how he survive his encounter with Death. A profile of all the named enemy would be just as cool. Hopefully its in the Selvaria DLC.

I'll be making my A rank run shortly, but man..fuck Ty >:(

That guy is meeeeeeean, lol. I remember when I found him laying down in the grass with Vyse and I looked at his name before shooting him, then said, "Pfft. Immortal? Let's see how your immortal ass likes lead!". Yeah..needless to say..he ended up hurting me just a bit more, lol.

I made Vyse lay down, then I shot a mortar at Ty, but it barely phased him -_-. While he was standing out of the grass, I went again, then shot him with an anti-tank shell. He was still standing.

I had Vyse try to take him down, but he managed to survive, then put Vyse in critical condition *sigh*. I rushed Alicia to his rescue, then popped Ty in the head once, killing him FINALLY. He's like a cockroach!
 
If you want to kill him fast, I think you pretty much have to get the Undodgeable shot potential to trigger. Otherwise, either Neutralize and Defense boost and flamethrower him until he's dead. Getting a second shocktrooper to combo with would help too. Note, this is talking about the last time you kill him.

The first time you see him at Vasel, you can actually get your headshots in without him noticing you, grenade him while he's out of sight range, and shoot him the next turn. The second time, if you have long range grenades, you can get him like that, or just shoot from outside of sight range with Alicia. The last time he's a real cheater...
