What CE is the best(Gameplay wise)

Hilde's is at least top 5

big damage
can punish from across the screen
tracks all step
safe to at least 1/3 of the cast
limited use of meter = more CE's (aka bad be's and GI glitch)
its for her damn homeland
 
Alpha Patroklos: Being i8 gives this CE a lot of potential use. It can punish a lot of moves, it's application can be used in a lot of versatile ways. Ability to combo off 2A is just icing on the cake.

Hilde: The fact that you can use it as a step punisher, from distance, and it's damage makes this CE incredibly useful. As Hussler mentioned before, "Limited use of Meter = more CE's." And judging from her Brave Edge's, she doesn't seem to have much need for them.

Algol: Has the most disgusting damage- and can be used for potential RO (The combo follow up). It's application is pretty versatile as well.

Patroklos: RO, and application towards combos is it's main purpose. I'd also like to add that his Meter gain is probably the best in the game. Having the ability to build meter, and have this CE in your arsenal is disgusting.

Astaroth: With activation frames at i18, this can be used as a punish. Leads to large damage, and potential RO/Wallsplat. Also, it's a unbreakable grab with incredible range.

1. Ivy- Its bad ass and its hard to avoid
2. Natsu- Its great to work with combos
3. Cervy- Its that one shot bullet that you dont see coming
 
Hilde.

Besides the reasons already stated, it's easy to set up.

* It cacthes step and it's easy to make people wanna step.

* It can be used as a tech trap that catches all sides and there are many set ups for this, including ones after big combos, so you practically kill the guy.

You make people think twice before moving (stepping or ukemiing).
