Why Soul Calibur? What makes it stand out?

Well, some SC characters are kinda cliche too. We have the knight, the ninja, the pirate, the samurai, the executioner... etc... and Elvis... with nunchucks.

I played soul edge. I loved the 3d fighting, and I loved the intro. AS soon as I learned that the graphics in soulcalibur was as good as the intro in souledge I was hooked. Also I love that you can not juggle like a 2d fighter in soucalibur. that was what I hated most in soulcalibur 3...
