wow, created characters allowed online :((((

so i played soul calibur online for the first time today and noticed something bothersome...created characters are allowed in online play! This is really saddening. Where is the fun in fighting characters you have no idea how to fight? I really hope they patch this, at least disallow created characters in ranked games. wow very dissapointing :(. And guys please tell me that there is a way to filter out created character matches

You know, I just noticed this, and I have to say, I would LOVE to fight something I have no idea how to fight. That sounds like it would be fucking boss.

I just didn't think the developers would have made the differences too drastic. I figured as long as the moves are the same and the only difference was a little more reach or a little more power it wouldn't be a big deal. Maybe more of a challenge. I was wrong. It apparently IS drastic - judging by the opinions on here. Live and learn.

I treat it like F1 Racing. But then Again I use Devil Jin for crying out loud I might as well jump right in the CaS because that's where he's staying.
But there are definitely some items that obscure weapons. I think that in itself is more of an honesty thing than anything else, of course some players are gonna use it to win. others may have higher integrity.

That.. actually isn't true.

Custom characters who aren't made with the characters default height and build change hitboxes and hurtboxes which do affect play. That's why CaS is banned in real tournaments.

Custom characters ought to be default disallowed in ranked matches (unless they conform to height/weight specs), but in terms of problems with ranked match, it's only one of many.

Now if you want to bitch about there not being a "No CaS" filter in room creation, now.. there is something to complain about.

I haven't noticed changes in hit boxes on SCV yet. Maybe someone clarified later in this thread? I dunno, I was too lazy to look, but I had the same view as Paradox.....is this a troll thread? Even with smaller characters i've noticed the hit range seems to be the same, but maybe I could be wrong.

Shogun I linked a thread here where it was tested and proven pretty conclusively.

Try a min height Sieg or Nightmare...

I have a second to shortest height Sieg and Nightmare. They do a bit more damage, but having the range decreased so drastically hurts like hell. Its not so much the throw range, as it is the normal move range. The weapon itself is shrunk with the character, and in certain moves, it shows.

Lol on shortest Sieg/NM agA has the range of a normal AA from a short range character.
