That's petty semantics. Whenever you hear people say "I've said my peace", that's the word they intend to use. It seems like you guys are both wrong on that one. "Piece" I suppose CAN be interpreted that way, but not in this case.
Saying "I've said my peace" is the same context as "I've had my peace with it".
