I have a second generation Zune 8GB (third generation just came out).
This Zune is in absolutely MINT condition because I have kept it for it's entire life in Microsoft's official $40 leather case. I still have all the boxes, all the manuals and all the cables. In addition, I will be including the leather case. The case has one major modification I made to it, that makes it different from others... By default, the leather case does not have a port for the sync/charge cable; which means, while you want to sync/charge the Zune, you would have to take it out of the case.
I used a dremel, and a burning iron to modify the case so that it now has a port for the sync/charge cable! And I did a really good fucking job with it too! It looks like the port is there by design; and if you have never seen one of these cases before, you would think I bought it like this. This is why I have rarely ever taken this Zune out of it's case. I have kept it in good condition.
Why use a Zune instead of an iPod? Through the iTunes Marketplace, you can buy songs only one way, ala cart; $1 per song, and every song has DRM, meaning you can't use it on ANY device except your iPod. The Zune Marketplace, you can purchase songs in two different ways; through the standard ala cart; $1 per song, and every song you buy this way has ZERO DRM, meaning you can put your music on ANY device, not just your Zune...
Or you can buy songs using a Zune Pass, which is like the Napster method; $15 a month for unlimited music for the lifetime of your account! Of course, these songs do have DRM, meaning you can only use them on your Zune; and the moment you cancel your subscription, your songs disappear... but to make up for it, you get 10 free ZERO DRM ala cart songs a month (meaning this subscription really only costs $5).
Plus, the Zune Marketplace software is FAR superior to the iTunes software... integrates directly with your Xbox360... and even uses your GamerTag as your "Zune Social" ID.
I'm asking $100 for the Zune and the leather case.
